Okay...if I've never been to a gym and never went out for a jog where do I start. I am thin but not very healthy in the inside. I can't even walk up stairs without getting out of breathe. I don't want to start off lifting all these weights but I would like to start off with a bunch of different cardio techniques. I do own a bike - would that be the best bet to start off with? Or should I go for long walks and increase the length each time? Then there is the eating habits. I usually always drink coffee as my breakfast with occasional honey-roasted peanuts, a salad from a fast food restaurant or sometimes I'll skip it. The dinner is always really late like around 8:00 pm. My eating habits are like this because of lack of money and time. I have a 2 year old daughter so I concentrate all of my time and effort on her. I make sure she eats healthy and every meal. I make sure she is taken care of before anything else. When I go grocery shopping I pick out things for her only.

It is commendable that someone with a slender figure is concerned about her health. Sometimes I wonder if people realize that thinness is not synonomous to go health. Ehat I reccommend is let your daughter be your guide. You feed her healthy? Eat the same things that you feed her. Eat atleast 3 times. Meat, chicken, fish etc can get expensive but they are always on sell. Seek out meat sales at various grocery stores. Shop the produce aisles and pick up new fruits and veggies that you have never tried. Look on the internet for new recipes. Most importantly, have fun.

Well if you want to get into running/jogging you have to make sure to start slow. Walk and then jog, and the bike is always a good way to get in some cardio. But a big thing is not to try and do too much too soon. You can easily get hurt doing so putting off getting in shape longer and it could also be failry discouraging.

Avoid sodas of course. Try to drink mostly water and tea. Be careful when you drink tea though, because a lot of bottled teas have high fructose corn syrup in it. Avoid processed foods. Try to eat fresh, raw veggies when possible. Most vegetables retain most of their nutrients when they are not cooked. Instead of candy have fresh fruit. As a human you naturally crave sugar and this will help to satisfy you. When you have meat, make sure your steak or fish is no bigger than a deck of cards. Also, enjoy your food and eat slowly. This will give your stomach a chance to tell your brain it's full before you overeat. Try using smaller plates too, you'll eat less using this technique. It would be best if you don't see this as a "diet" but more of a life style change. That is the best way to loose weight and keep it off. Be realistic in your expectations and what you should eat.

Long walks and bike rides are a good start. It's all about balance. Stay away from junk food, sugar, and fatty foods, and try to get some exercise daily. Work you way up to some running, which should work very well for you. Good luck.

well, to start off you probably shouldn't eat fast food salads everyday. they may be vegeatbles but McDonalds and other fast food places put alot of preserveatives in theyre salads so theyre unhealthy. Also, the fact that you thin but don't excersise is because you have a fast metabolism. Watch what you eat, because it will catch up to you and possibly cause weight problems. I recomend using a treadmill and walking is fine too. whatever you do, make sure to start off slow. also try ti- bo, and areobics, anything to keep your heart pumping! gradually, you'll get less and less tired. Play with your daughter too, she may have alot of energy so if you keep up with her, it may be a workout!

Just go outside and take a nice walk for 20 - 30 minutes. Thats a great place to start. What shape are you trying to become anyway? Round, square, oval?

Go to the closest gym, and talk to a fitness instructor.

Then see a nutritionist for the dietary part of getting in shape.
