Alot of the coktail books i read say i need grenadine but i cant find it anywhere!

Since it isn't really alcohol, you can sometimes buy it in the grocery store; however, most liquor stores carry the item. I believe grenadine is made from pomegranate, so you can always make a pomegranate simple syrup and use that.

It's a very common cherry flavoring. If you can't find it, I suppose you could substitute maraschino cherries with juice.
Find Grenadine at Wal-mart, Grocery Stores & Liquor Stores.
Costs about $3/bottle.
Just ask an employee to help you find it fast.

Basically any liquor store should have it. Also, supermarkets often do if they are big enough and have a small "mixers" sections, usually near the sodas and such. I actually got a lovely one at Williams Sonoma, a few months ago, when they had different mixed drink items. It was a little sweeter and thicker than regular

you can usually find it at your local grocery store. most liquor stores don't sell grenadine. it's just a flavored syrup that isn't just meant for alcoholic drinks. I use it in 7up or sprite.

roses makes the mainstay grenadine
you should be able to find it in the grocery store. it's where they keep the spirits and/or mixers (mudslide, margarita mixes)
any store that specializes in mostly alcoholic drinks (liquor stores) carry it as well.
if you still can't find it, look for pomegranite syrup (that's what it is based off of, and pretty much still is). check where they have coffee syrups.
also, if you're here in the states...marshalls and tj maxx always have either grenadine or pomegranite syrups in the kitchen ware area.
