hi, I am a freshman at boston university who came to boston after living in California all my life. in California we never drink tap water... either we get a filtration system or we just drink bottled water
im dorming in bu right now and buying bottled water every time is quite costly.. is it safe to drink the tap water at boston?

Rest assured, Boston's water is quite safe.
No, it does not come directly from the Charles. And you do get sick,, the Beth Isreal/Deaconness is right down the street.

Ask other dorm members....Just tell them your not from Boston and that where your from it isn't safe to drink tap water...ask a prof or some one who works in the library if you have too...It so weird to me that there are places in North america with unsafe tap water...that's like unheard of in Canada.....

Yes, most tap water is quite safe to drink and use for showers and cooking. So save your money and drink for FREE ! Well, water that is !
