Your vision isn't going to be affected (like your ability to see), but you will get eye strain and headaches from having to stare and work at a screen all day. So at least try to take time for breaks (like after an hour of being in front of the computer, take a 15 minute break, and try not to be on the computer all day long).

Well that's what I did in college back when I had 20/20 vision and now I have to wear glasses/contacts. Well not 24/7, but easily 8-12 hours a day on the more intense days.
Eye doc says to take a "blink break" every 30 min or so and focus on something far away.

doing anything with your eyes 24/7 will probably cause that. Get real, you don't sit at the computer 24/7, you must rest, eat, etc. If you have irritated eyes it is likely because while you are on the computer, you forget to blink. Put a reminder right by the screen that says " Blink!", stop every two hours or so to rest your eyes for a few seconds, and use a moisturizing eye drop.

Yes it will affect your eyes and brain. Take a break every hour or so and walk away from the PC, focus on something at a distance and do something other than computers for a hobby.
