It's not just MTV. The media has turned morality and personal responsibility into a punchline. Rappers whose lyrics praise shooting and killing are being paid millions, athletes that raise animals to fight and then kill the weak ones are called role models & commercials telling people to eat mega calorie junk food turning are America into the obesity capital of the world. There is no more self-esteem, there are no more morals, there is no more self-control. If it feels good, do it, buy it, eat it, bang it.
Sad...very sad.

It was really rude and disrespectful. You don't go and ruin someone's big moment when they've just won an award and say someone else should have gotten it. It makes him look like a huge jerk, and embarasses not only him, but also Taylor Swift and Beyonce. Someone should have hustled him off stage after that display. P.S. I am by no means a Taylor Swift fan, but no matter who Kanye did it too it is still very disrespectful on his part to go and ruin a someone's special moment.

i agree with everybody, i used to jet home and argue with my sisters over the remote to watch carson daily and TRL. now i find myself flippin past the channel completely. britney shouldn't have been selected to "perform" because she was a mess. i feel sorry for her. her career is basically over. kanye is always blaming someone for his shortcomings. he is not the best MC out there so the lack of awards he has shows that. kid rock and tommy lee need to grow up. one is 52 and the other is 42 and they're acting like 12 year olds. mtv needs to either bring carson and the old days back or go off air. plus they should get rid of the MTV awards, i didnt bother in to tune in.

I agree with the top, actually it wasn't that bad in the mid 90's at least they still showed some video's but it was on the decline, now it's horrible.

Yeah, I stopped watching the Music Awards years ago. I remember that I couldn't wait to see them. But now, I'm like OK, whatever. I don't even watch TRL anymore when again, I couldn't wait to see who was at number one.

I completely agree with you. Britney`s performance was laughable, I honestly think she was drunk. I like the Silvermann chick but she was boooring. All in all it sucked.
