No, you should never make a huge decision based on the actions of one random idiot, no matter what their religion or race or whatever.
There are many more legitimate reasons for stopping your belief in religion, if you open your mind and look for them. But it should be based on your own thoughts and beliefs, not avoidance of some jerk who turns you off. You can always just go to another church, if the only problem you have is a couple of morons at the one you've been going to.

Never stop believing in God. People will be hurtful, even Christians will sometimes hurt you. No one is perfect except Him. Don't let someone else's actions cause you to give up the best thing you will ever have.

well that depends on who your faith is really in. God or People.
He is perfect & we are not. I know that betrayal can be painful. it is hard to receive disloyalty from hands & hearts you trusted. The fear of "Judas" has caused many preachers, leaders, as well as the general masses to avoid the attack. Now if you understand anything about god, you know that he can give direction out of rejection. GOD IS TOO WISE TO HAVE HIS PLANS ABORTED BY PETTY MEN. Any time you make an investment, there is a possibility of a loss. But there is a difference between being hurt & being altered & destroyed. You belong to God and he watches over you every day. Did you ever think that there are some human cliques & social groups in which he doesnt want you to be included.

When Christians hurt other Christians, it is because they are judging self righteously. This is self righteousness & not Christ righteousness.
Religion can produce legalism, extra laws, & people get critical self righteously. So? I think it is good to stop believing in religion. But to choose God & believe in God. Trust & obey God.
Without faith, it is impossible to please God, for those who come to God, must believe God Is, and is a rewarder to those who diligently seek Him. We need to put our trust in God & not what other people say.
I trust & obey Jesus and not so much all the rules of religion. I am not under law, I am under grace. The perfect law of liberty is to Love God & love others.

No, No No.
All those who profess to be Christians do not know God. If they hurt you they are not listening to the voice of the Holy Spirit.
Even if they hurt you because they told you the truth and you didn't like what they said. The Holy Spirit would say. State your truth firmly but with love, remembering always Jesus came for sinners.

Never! You aren't living for those people; your accountability is with the Father. If they were true Christians, they would not deliberately hurt you. No person is perfect, so yeah, someone might be irritated and hurt your feelings, maybe even cuss you. But if it is continuous or obviously on purpose, they may not be Christians.

What one needs is to have a paradigm shift in thier thinking to have a change in behavior. Some do it with story telling as Christ had done some do it with example as quakers have done and some do it with Cognative restructuring as some choose self help. Example, Their was a man on the bus with his four children. He was sitting quietly and deep in thought his children were jumping up and down and acting out. When a woman who sat across from him said " Why don't you make your children behave and sit quietly? This will make the bus right better for all of us." When he said "Yes your right, but I was just thinking of thier mother who just passed away. I am sorry I will take care of them." At that moment the woman thought to herself that she would never speak to someone without being pleasent when she thinks selfishly. About forgiveness it is easy to take an offense then yhou must forgive least you carry that anger with you. But no one is in control of your emotions but you. So when a person says that &^%&^% made me so mad. Do they have buttons on them that someone can use like a remote and do they have no control of thier emotions? I think not. When a person does not begin to take offense do they need to give forgiveness. I am not saying that people are not intitled to thier emotions but what I am saying when a person does finally learn to take corrective measures in thier own behavior can they live peacefully. Christ said this best when he said "Why pull the speck out of someone elses eye while you have a plank in tor own?" So as far as nature we can change our nature but it does take practice and we have to be offended to make it a practice not to allow the offence to get a foothold. Thank you for posting this question because I just had an epiphany and look forward to see if I can put this into practice. I would hope that I will become the person that my dog thinks I am. I do not believe in religion nor do I claim spiritual perfection as Christians do by being saved. But I do believe in spiritual progress. Remember people will always go out of thier way to try to hurt you even those who would be hypocrits. It is just my choice to activly change my own thinking.

No, everyone will give an account for his own actions, even our idle words are recorded, don't let other so called Christians keep you from serving the Lord, and remember, we must forgive and forget, for sometimes I know that I have bad days myself sometimes and say things I really don't mean and I hurt other people I really didn't mean to hurt. 70 times 7 each day remember.

How does your belief in God relate to someone hurting you? We have been told to love one another. If someone professes to be a Christian and doesn't love, but hurts another, then they don't seem to be following what Jesus taught. To be a Christian means to be a follower of Jesus Christ. God loves us, and wants the best for us. But there are those who wear the cloaks of Christianity, but don't have it in their hearts.

No, people are human and make human mistakes, Christians are no different. Sometimes we speak before we think and say dumb things and other times we say things to hurt on purpose. Sometimes we may say things out of pure ignorance . This is human nature and you will never be able to shield yourself from negative remarks but this should have no effect on your faith.
