There is a book that has been recommended to me by other veg*ns by the name of "The China Study". It compares and contrasts traditional Chinese diet with the new traditional American diet. One thing that I've heard about Asian women and their diet, is their lack of the overuse of calcium and how that contributes to their low rate of things like osteoporosis. They do eat soy, which is high in calcium, but not mass amounts of dairy. (The last time I remember reading something on this was in a spring issue of Family Circle. I was amazed that a mainstream magazine didn't immediately recommend milk and diary. However, that amazement quickly ended when they recommended it for kids.)

I see no problem with the consumption of the rice, fruits and veggies. However, are you eating brown or white rice? Brown rice is whole grain and wholly intact. What few pimples I had prior to changing my diet to whole foods disappeared, likely as a result of what I was eating, as opposed to what I WASN'T eating. The last two times I got my hair cut (once last fall and once earlier this summer), the person cutting it constantly commented on how healthy it is. In addition to my diet of real foods, I also don't color it, blow dry it, or put much junk on it (if it look as though my bangs are hanging flat against my forehead, I'll curl them with a curling iron, leaving the iron on my hair for no more than five seconds; after brushing the curl out, I hold it with light hair spray).

It's about what you eat and how you care for yourself.

Hmm... are you looking at celebrity Japanese women? I am American, but used to live in japan for 6 years I wouldn't say that their skin is flawless as opposed to any other nationality. The other funny thing is that you say their long hair? I rarely saw them with long hair, it is very typical that they have short hair! Not because it doesn't grow, but for whatever reason being, they style cut it short. Clear skin I believe has to do with your mostly your hormones. And hair growth is usually in your genes I am assuming since most African-Americans don't have the ability to grow their hair as long as they like to. You just need to learn to love the way you are and get over Japanese women!

I haven't heard of this one before but it sounds like a good eating plan. Healthy fruit, vegetables, fish and rice..make it brown rice ok? I think the Asian beauty comes from centuries of a healthy lifestyle but it sure can't hurt to see if it works for westerners! Good luck

Meh, it is a fad. There's not anything you'll be able to quite do approximately it. If jap females wanna get dressed like that, then they have got all of the correct to. But there are lots of jap females in the market who love dressing just like the conventional "edo jap lady", so you do not quite ought to fear approximately "all jap females becoming catholic university ladies".
