It is hard to believe that it has been 6 years since 9/11. Odd how I can still remember so many details about that day. I remember how clear and blue the sky was that day. . .and how sad I felt while I fed my baby that evening, wondering why I bothered to bring a child into such a cruel world.

Did September 11th change you or effect you in any way spiritually and if so how?

It sure affected me. I stood in the living room, mouth gaping as I watched the first tower billow smoke. And then the second tower.

It wasn't until I realized the devastation and all the implications that would go with it, did I realize the clock had just started to tick. I knew the count down had started.

It's not that it happened to the U.S. or even by whom. This was a sign that the U.S. was no longer what it used to be. For me, it meant the eventual destruction of the country, not physically but spiritually.

We have, as a country, fed the fat cow that will one day become the most devastating army that will move against Israel, in those last days. We have so blatantly and blindly gone along with a massive plan, and happily so. Today, the people of the U.S. have become so glutenous and lazy, that for China to stop exporting to us would send the whole country into a tailspin. Think about it.Computers,trinkets,clothing,shoes. We have turned our back on our own countrymen, let them go out of business, in exchange for cheaply made but short lasting.

In the meantime, China bilges out waste chemicals that form clouds that cross the sea to our own land. They have become fat and rich off the U.S. and the population grows because now they can afford it. Growing the great coming army.

All this was announced on 9-11, showing us how weak we had become.

Sure enough hurricane Katrina, the tsunami.......things we have not experienced in hundreds of years. I fully expect devastation to over take the news broadcasts.

We've always had troubles in the middle east but it's different now. They are arming, like never before.

Add to that, the day came when it was true what the Bible said,"what is good will be called evil and what is evil will be called good". We've definitely come to that day. "It will be as in the days of Noah", and we sure have seen that come to pass.

The great 'eye in the sky' that Daniel's angel spoke of, exists now. "When people will run to and from and knowledge abounds", sure has come to pass.

Put it all together and I see prophecy being fulfilled to the letter. For me, 9-11 was not only a testimony to the frailty of the U.S. but also the count down had begun.

I and a friend I was taking to work were in a little disbelief when the news came to us on the radio. At first when I heard a jetliner slammed into one of the twin towers, I thought it was an accident. Then a second airliner hit the other tower and then my thoughts went to, this was no accident. Then the news of another jet hitting the Pentagon and another slamming into the ground in Pennsylvania. I actually thought that it was the act of terrorism, I just did not know which group it was. Of course, days later we would find out that Osama bin Laden and Al Quaeda would claim responsibility. Spiritually, I was praying for those that lost their lives and their families. I was also praying for those that were injured before and after the towers collapsed. I was not shaken spiritually, I knew that we would finally come to retaliate with a resolve in defeating terrorism all over the world.

I was a newly wed in the middle of moving to a new house with my husband and thinking as I looked at the space and waste that perhaps I was making my bed in a burning building. Maybe the whole world was about to come to a close...I didn't know what to think. This was also the time that I just happened to get pregnant 2 years earlier than planned. It brought some things about that I could never regret...my daughter is now 5 years old but when I look at her beautiful face, I knew that God had my back and anyone elses who chooses to acknowledge Him. He loves us...we are the ones that create the ugly. So my focus is constantly on Him and always will be. Love in Christ, ~J~

I think it affected many spiritually, church membership has grown since then and for good reason. People are more aware of their own mortality and realize that they can be taken even when all seems right in the world. Those poor victims had no idea what was about to happen when they went to work. I pray for their sakes that they were right with the Lord and that their families will see them again some day.

No....and to be honest, I think that September 11th was a wee overhyped (yes, I do sympathize with those who have lost families, yes, I do see that we can't allow such things to happen, but, really, one cataclysmic event every 50 years or so is much better than most other countries can pull off. We should consider ourselves lucky that such attacks are so rare that we were able to be shocked by them, and garner world sympathy for a brief minute, long enough to begin two wars).

It made me wonder why so many argue and fight and kill over religion. Why is being right more important than doing right? Why can't we all just respect each other as most religions ask? Why can't we understand that someone around the world is human just as we are? Why don't we know that ALL life is precious? And if we do, why don't we tell others so that they know, too?

That's what I wonder since that day...

I still dont understand why Osama Bin Laden was never found. If we put half the effort into catching him as we do in other things we would of found him a long time ago.

Christians can not be indifferent when so many innocent people. I grieve also about them. Christians and people of good will must try harder to join forces to resist evil of this world.
