Its been happening for like five years or so. They last anywhere from five to twenty minutes.

i once seen a person on tv that had them for over like 2 years.
i dont know if it is a problem. but you might want to ask your dr. next time you see him.

I can top that. When I was a kid, I use to get them like 3 or 4 times a day. I found out in my adult years working in a hospital that it is an involuntary action of the diaphragm muscle in your chest. Without even realising it, if you are scared, nervous or stressed it can effect your breathing. The diaphragm muscle is basically the muscle that helps your lungs breathe air in and out. When the breathing pattern is interrupted it can cause hiccups.

Have you seen a doctor about this? Diaphragm slippage, as it were,can lead to other lung related medical.problems, if left untreated.
