How many times in a month can you give blood, and how often if more that a few a month?

My mom said that if you are over 110 or 100 pounds you can start giving blood, is that true also, she works at a hospital, but not in that department, she is more of who goes to what part for what disease or problem they have. So again, is that true?

You have to weigh atleast 110 pounds. You can donate every 56 days. It's a wonderful thing to do. Too bad everyone doesn't even THINK about doing it and help saving lives. Good for you. :)

I donate blood quite alot, so I can feel safe to say that if you are able to donate once a month, it is fine, but you should check with the medical people at the site to make sure, as well as make sure you eat as well as drink before you donate.

you have to be around 50-60kg (110-132lbs) different countries have different weight restrictions. i think the safest would be about 55kg (120lbs)

is usually around 55 days for a full blood donation or around once a month if you go for apheresis (removal of blood components e.g. platelets)

but you have to be 18 i know for a fact

You can give one pint every 56 or 57 days. They will definitely cal you when it is time again.

she could be right every 2 weeks you can give blood cause it takes 2 weeks to replemish back in you body what was lost.
