Do you mean why do non-Catholics go to Catholic parochial schools? I didn't go to one, but they're generally regarded as providing a great education. In poor areas, they're sometimes the only option for a decent education.
Also, if you're going to the religious school of your own religion you're likely around your co-religionists. Parents are probably more confident that the school is teaching their children things that mirror their own beliefs.

Sometimes so parents can try to shelter their kids from the real world, and ironically the strange side affect is they then become unprepared for the real world.
Additionally some people send their kids to private schools for racial, or class reasons. To again shelter their kids from associating with other groups of people and getting to know the real world.
The parents dont care what the religion the school is, only that their children will be brain washed and sheltered by them

Because Catholic/Christians schools typically provide a higher quality education than public schools.

The parents probably believe there's a better chance they'll graduate with the basic knowledge education is intended to provide.
I'm not referring to religious teachings.
