with religion or "religious" people?
That's not "our" problem.
False teachers are as much of a problem to "us" as they are to you.

Smirk,
If you want to know, find out. I don't "force" the truth on anyone.
Oh, God will deal with the false teachers as well.

Because the "us" sticks out more and people remember bad experiences more than good ones.
edit: And no, it's not "their" problem. It's "our" problem for not doing what we are supposed to be doing. I am a minister's wife, and you would be shocked at the cruelty I have seen in the churches I have been in. You get to see a lot more when everyone comes to you instead of just seeing a few isolated incidents. It's a wonder anyone is a Christian with the attitudes I have seen. It's a wonder that I still am after the way I have been treated by "God's people." Quite frankly, if some of the things I have seen have been God, I think I would take hell.

I blame my problems on the source and then try to find a way to 'fix' it. For instance, if I have a physical problem, I try to learn what therapies, herbs or drugs are used to treat it. Or, if it's with a person, there are numerous psychological factors that affect how they react to a given situation-it's not just religious choice alone.
Whereas, a religious person might assume God willed it so; therefore they do nothing to change it.
I'm sure there are already plenty of 'religious' people who will take exception to that...just like there are plenty of non-Christians who blame no one for any bad experiences...whether it is with a religious person or not. Blanket rules will always bring out plenty of 'exceptions'.

We all need to figure out how we outline those phrases, however allow me proportion with you the way I outline them. My fact - that is an opinion, my opinion Your fact - that is an opinion, your opinion Our fact (a institution who proportion the equal opinion) - it is a paradigm All of our fact (an opinion that all people stocks) - the reality The Truth - Pure attention, Pure nothingness, Pure awareness The fact - relative The Truth - absolute The Paradox My Truth, your Truth and the Truth might as a consequence all be the equal, nonetheless as quickly as we attempted to realise this Truth, or speak approximately it we might accomplish that by way of our fact and it turns into relative, conveniently due to the fact that the brain is relative and so any role of brain might make an absolute proposal relative. Take care

If your question is, why do members of a religion become blamed for the actions of a few of their members? Like Catholics taking the heat because of a few bad apple priests?
We each need to clean our own house. In the end a church is made up of it's members, and the actions of those members determine what kind of church it is. If I am not happy with what someone else has done in my name, I am responsible for doing something about it.

How are we supposed to know which ones are "false" or not?
If you have a problem with someone who is mis-representing your group, you need to take it up with them, not blame us.
