My 7 yr. old son has had 3 inguinal hernia repairs. Two on the left one on the right. The last one was on the left and a year ago. During his back to school physical this year the doctor discovered that he has an undecended testical. (Both testicals had in recent years been decended) The doctor thinks that his left testical may have been injured during his last surgery, which is a possibility with inguinal hernia repair. He may have to have it removed. I am just curious if each testical carries the same gender chromosomes. I thought I remembered something of this in biology in high school but I don't remember the specifics.
