They really cant afford to leave Nascar. There is way to much commercial publicity for them to even think about backing out. If they fold then it will worsen anxiety about the companies state. They will make a push in the next year or two and be back into contention.

Not a chance. Ford made money last quarter too. If someone was going to leave it would be Dodge because they have new owners who might not want to spend money on racing.
Nobody is going to leave.
Dearborn, Michigan-based Ford, which has seen some recent sales success for its new crossover models like the Ford Edge and has won quality accolades, said second-quarter revenue rose to $44.2 billion from $41.9 billion a year earlier.
Ford's auto operations swung to a profit of $378 million before taxes and excluding special charges, while finance arm Ford Motor Credit contributed a net profit of $62 million.

It's a long shot.. Although they've had the INCREDIBLE financial losses and woes.. I don't think the manufacturer will be pulling ANY support out of NASCAR, nor the other top series.

No, they've got more money than they know what to do with. They're just tight wads.

No, but they will end up selling to Toyota or Honda.

I dunno. I doubt it any time soon. I think they will look at making some changes before they would pull out. They are still pretty competitive.
