bf. told me he still has feeling for ex. his first love. then he says he's just in love with what she represented to him. but that it bothers to see her with other guys. then at work a girl likes him. he mantioned her briefly. now i know she likes him. i found her number in his wallet and he said his friend went out w/ her to the movies and she told him his feelings for my bf. I really dont trust him BUT he is telling me whats going on... he says he doesnt want me to leave him and- i am very atttached to him- but i feel our relation is ruined. =(. he is my 1st relationship.. i dont know what to do to make it stick?

dump him and move on . he is not a good b/f for you .IF he has her number in his wallet then he is calling her . he is full of bs and would not trust him for a minute . good luck there is someone better for you out there .

I have had a couple of BFs who felt the need to share with me that other women found them attractive, and I came to the conclusion that they were trying to regain their self-esteem after their previous relationships. Unfortunately, while they are building up their self-esteem they usually end up damaging ours, which is something you need to tell him.
The other thing is that this is your 1st relationship. First relationships are our testing ground. We learn what we want, what we need. We learn a great deal about ourselves. Sometimes they last; sometimes they don't.
If you don't trust this man then you really have no business trying to make this relationship stick. If you think the relationship is ruined, then it is. Being attached to someone is no reason to stay in a doomed relationship, and this one is doomed. It's time to chalk this one up to life's lessons and go on. You may have many relationships before you find the one true love of your life. This guy isn't it.

Hmm...I still have feelings for one of my old GF's, but I know going back to her would be disasterous, just like when we were dating. I had cheated on my recent GF with her in H.S. and they hate each other. I still text msg her once in awhile, but know there's no way we could see each other again. Anyhow, not sure the correct answer for your question. Make sure he doesn't cheat on you though, that would mean he really doesn't like you too much.
