Some Christians DO disagree with interractial marriage. Not because they are Christians, but because they are idiots. One doesn't really have much to do with the other.

I don't think being christian has any reason for people's beliefs on interracial marriage.
Unfortunately people where raised to believe such things. Culture is also a factor in peoples opinions.
I am happily involved in an interracial marriage, as my parents were. I have never seen any ugliness from people as a result of it, (however I was raised in the North, and in the South there may just be a larger controversy on the subject)

I have NEVER heard any Catholic say that.
My parents were married in the Catholic Church in 1975, and they're an interracial marriage. In my church now there are at least 5 or 6 interracial couples I see at the Mass I go to.
The Catholic Church teaches the equality and dignity of all people on the earth. There is ABSOLUTELY no teaching of the Church that makes any distinction of people of different races. We are all one people.
Are you sure it was Catholics that said that?

I do not know about all Christians but there is no Church doctrine or law that prohibits or even persuades against interracial marriage.
Racism is against the teachings of Jesus Christ and the Catholic Church:
Created in the image of the one God and equally endowed with rational souls, all men have the same nature and the same origin. Redeemed by the sacrifice of Christ, all are called to participate in the same divine beatitude: all therefore enjoy an equal dignity.
The equality of men rests essentially on their dignity as persons and the rights that flow from it:
Every form of social or cultural discrimination in fundamental personal rights on the grounds of sex, race, color, social conditions, language, or religion must be curbed and eradicated as incompatible with God's design.
For more information, see Catechism of the Catholic Church, sections 1934 and following: http://www.usccb.org/catechism/text/pt3sect1chpt2art3.htm#1934
With love in Christ.

Interracial marriage only became legal in all 50 states less than seven years ago. In one country, 40% still voted against it.
This is a result of church teachings that claimed the races were meant by your god to be separate.
They're doing the same thing with same-sex marriage - it's always about people denying others the rights they themselves take for granted.

I think it's entertaining and somewhat sad that christians really believe people care what they think. Gay and interracial couples are not seeking christian approval. They want to be equal to other couples in the eyes of the law. That way, if one of them dies, his/her child can be adopted by the partner and not enter the system. They can get tax breaks that married couples get, they can sign each others medical release forms, etc. Those are the reasons homosexuals want to be married. Not because they want approval from religious, closed-minded jerks.

It is a misinterpritation of the Bible. It isnt meant of being interracial, but of being interreligious. Deuteronomy 7:1-6.

Because THEY "learn" this "intellectual" behavior from their ignorant, prejudice parents. AND, those parents "learned" from their parents. AND, I am guessing that all of them really thought that the GOD only loves white people and are "truly" Christians. AND, don't forget, church paly huge role in that as well.
That is why now, we have so many psychologically and physiologically unhealthy people on this planet.

Well, they shouldn't. Moses was an Isrealite and his wife was the daughter of Jethro an Egyptian. His wife was darker than him and God punished Moses's sister and brother for speaking against him concerning his wife. True Christians do not look at skin color.
