Why does the sun go on shining?
Why does the sea rush to shore?
Don't they know it's the end of the world,
'Cause you don't love me any more?
Why do the birds go on singing?
Why do the stars glow above?
Don't they know it's the end of the world.
It ended when I lost your love.
I wake up in the morning and I wonder,
Why everything's the same as it was.
I can't understand. No, I can't understand,
How life goes on the way it does.
Why does my heart go on beating?
Why do these eyes of mine cry?
Don't they know it's the end of the world.
It ended when you said goodbye.

Armageddon is not the end of the world it's the end of religon on earth.... This is strongly promoted as a bad thing but only by the religious... if humans fail to comply and end relgion on earth then the next step nature will take is to exterminate the human race from the earth... 'We are in the days of decision" I beleive that is why the Atheists are given a voice" and we do have a short time to comply.... We don't see the signs because the christians and psychics spend a lot of time hiding the truth from the general public...

Sometime before the 2008 election. Bush finds a pretext to bomb Iran, The Iranians retaliate by firing missiles at Israel, Israel retaliates by nuking Tehran, Syria, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia attack Israel with everything they have and cut off all the oil to the West, The US tries to bully its way into the oil fields and nuke Damascus, Cairo, and Riyadh, the Russians get involved and nuke US forces in the Middle East, the US Nukes Moscow, the Russians launch everything they have at the US, The US launches everything we have at Russia, China, and anyone else that pissed the US off.
The whole thing takes about 3 days.
Jesus don't come back.
Satan doesn't show up.
Everyone dies.
42 million years later the Cockroaches conquer space, initiate friendly relations with the Bungdardi of Alpha Centaurus, and everyone lives happily ever after.

Short answer, over 1007 years from now.
It will burn.
Long Answer:
Important: Going backwards from the End.
The Post Millennium
There will be a time when Satan is released from a place where he was bound for a thousand years. When he comes out, he will convince a certain people to rise up and come against Jesus who is at Jerusalem. No one except God knows how long that will take, and when it will occur.
The Millennium
Which means: 1000 years of Christ ruling on Earth. He comes down and sets His feet upon the Mount of Olives in Israel after He brings the enemies of Israel together to make war against them. He destroys those enemies and sets up the 1000-year earthly Kingdom. Not all Christians believe this, but I do and those who believe like me.
The Great Tribulation
This is a seven-year period when God pours His wrath out on the Earth. It occurs after those that are in the body of Christ (the church), are taken out of the way. Often referred to as the Rapture of the Church, the Jews will have the temple built in Jerusalem, and on the World's stage a man supposedly of Peace will actually make peace in the Middle East for seven years, three and one half years into the deal he will break that promise, and make war. So, seven years, the last three and one half years there will be many things happening that will make it seem that the Earth is being destroyed.
The Present Day
We are on the far side of all that I have written. Israel is a nation once again as was prophesied. The church is awaiting the Rapture. The Rapture, as with all the fulfilled "Set Times" or "Feasts" that are observed by the Jews were set by God to show His manipulation of history, in advance.
For instance: Jesus was laid in the tomb as a fulfillment of Passover. The Spirit of God was poured out on men speaking the tongues of all nations on Pentecost. The Rapture of the Church will take place on the Feast of the Trumpets. It might not be this year, but on any year it won't occur unless it's on the Feast of the Trumpets. This year, the Feast of the Trumpets happens on 13 September, this month. If it does not happen then, it wont happen until one of the later years on the Feast of the Trumpets.
So we have the Rapture, whenever that is to take place, the Great Tribulation of seven years, the millennium for a thousand years, and the time that it takes Satan to convince a people to come again Jesus in Jerusalem, however long that is before the end of the world.

Probably a few million years when the sun explodes but it may be sooner if we get struck by a large meteor although this is not so likely as Saturn with it's enormous gravitational pull mops up most of the large ones

well if it goes the way scientist believe it will happen, we wont even have to worry about the world ending. One of Two things will happen first; the human race will be extinct; or we will have gained the technology to inhabit another planet, possible the moon first, then move on to another one.
if you have heard of the snow ball theory, you would realize the world could end very soon. if we get another global freezing, all the white from the snow would reflect sunlight and freeze the planet even more, and we would be stuck in a big snowball. thats very possible, and that could be the next big mass extinction. that or a comet.

When? Nobody will know when. It might've already started and we just don't realize it yet.
If you want to know what it will be like when Jesus comes again, look at how He came the first time: it wasn't what anybody expected.
They all expected The King to come in splendor and have a high, fancy-schmancy birth. How was he born? In a sheep trough surrounded by manure and animals.
So what are people expecting for the 2nd coming? Drama, fire, destruction, "rapture" (that fundamentalist-made-up word), and great wars per the Book of Revelation.
If that's what they're expecting, that is exactly won't happen. I suspect Jesus will come the 2nd time as inauspiciously as the first time.

Most probably a meteor hit, this has almost happened a few times. If you mean the end of people, they will just die out someday when the climate changes possibly caused by a meteor hit

Well, definitely when the Sun is no longer able to provide us with the warmth and light we need. Not for several billion years.
I don't accept any of the nonsense religion has to say about it.
Excellent answer Mato.
