I want to give my son a cruise for his graduation next year but am being told an adult of 21 or older is required to be booked in the same cabin with him. Does anyone have any other info for cruise lines that will allow two 18 yr olds without a 21 yr old? I don't want to do the Disney one. It is almost double in price. I am looking to send him to Jamaica, the Caribbean or the Bahama's.

5. All passengers must be aged 14 years or over at the time of embarkation. We reserve the right to require proof of age and, without such proof, to refuse passage to any person who is or who appears to be under 14. Passengers aged 14, 15, 16 or 17 must be accompanied on the same dates and booking legs by an adult aged 18 or over.

Good Luck!

for Carnival they have Circle "C" for youths 12-14 and O2 for teen 15-17 wether you may circulate to the different age communities club is punctiliously based on the golf equipment supervisor. they have a itemizing of all babies onboard and their names and additionally assign you a particular decal on your S&S card on the beginning up of the cruise. i've got self belief Royal Caribbean does the comparable yet they simply have diverse names for their golf equipment. the line sucks tho by way of fact they set a 1AM curfew for ALL travellers decrease than 18 Princess joins the two the communities mutually

Unfortunately for you all of the cruise lines operating out of the US require that a person age 21 or older (25 or older for Carnival cruise line) be in each cabin. It seems that they are concerned about excessive drinking and roudyness. This especially after the rash of people falling over board the past year.

Here are some of the cruise ship policies:

Carnival Cruise lines requires that the persons booking the cruise must be at least 25 years of age.

"Guests are required to be 21 years old (on embarkation day) to travel. Guests under the age of 21 must be accompanied in the same stateroom by a parent or guardian 25 or older. The exceptions Carnival will make to this policy are:

Married minor couple - The booking must be documented that the couple is married. The couple must have proof of marriage at embarkation or they will be denied boarding without the benefit of a refund. "

The requirement on Royal Caribbean, Princess and other cruise lines are different. They require that at least one person be age 21 or older.

Here's the Royal Caribbean policy straight from their web site:

"No guest under the age of twenty-one (21) will be reserved in a stateroom unless accompanied by an adult twenty-one (21) years of age, or older. This age limit will be waived for minor children sailing with their parents or guardians in adjacent staterooms or under-aged married couples (proof of marriage is required). Royal Caribbean International reserves the right to ask for proof of age. Royal Caribbean Internationals age policy for gambling and consumption of alcoholic beverages is as follows: Please note: An individual's age on the date of sailing determines his or her status for the entire cruise vacation."

Here's what Princess requires:

"Passengers under the age of 21 years must be accompanied by a Passenger 21 years or older who shall assume responsibility for their care during the cruise. Each Passenger hereby agrees and warrants that he/she will supervise any Passenger in his/her care at all times to ensure all policies, along with all other rules of the Carrier and ship, are strictly adhered to by all Passengers under their supervision. No alcohol may be purchased or consumed by any Passengers under the age of 21. No Passenger under the age of 21 shall be permitted to engage in any gaming activities on board the ship. No Passenger under the age of 18 shall be permitted to purchase cigarettes or tobacco products. Passengers hereby agree not to bring alcoholic beverages of any kind (except wine and champagne) on board for consumption."
