If my dog was to get a lump removed from his face, near his mouth, the size of a quarter, how much would that cost?

I know that when we was little he got a hernia removed from his stomach for only $150.00 canadian, so I'm wondering how extreme this would be. It seems like a ten minute operation, but then again it's near his mouth so some complications could occur.

the cost depends on the amount of anesthetic used ,a huge amount of the bill is taken up with anesthetic costs I'm in the UK but in pounds if it was a 10 minuet operation with no complications you would be looking at 150 pounds English money

I was surprised to find that my vet charges by the minute for surgery. A small tumor taken off the skin above my cat's eye was $150. I imagine if the lump is right up near the surface, and not in deep tissue, it would be a fast operation.

Can you call your vet and ask how they charge? Just to get an estimate?

$120-$240 is what we cost which depends on the surgery that is needed and how bad off the lump is (internal or external) and we are low cost. $45 dollars for the anestheasia. but we charge by the munute because you never know how long the surgery will take. It is $1 per minute. Depends on where you go. Try calling around to see who meets your financial needs and if you still have trouble, try asking for a payment plan.

Depends on your vet.. Our vet is Great and very very fair.. and he charges a lot less than most vets. I can tell you what he would charge me, but it's likely not the same as what your vet charges. It seems like a 10 minute operation?? It's likely easy to think that way but if you don't know what's involved in surgery..

You'll have to get a quote from your vet and/or other local vets. The size of the dog plays a large roll in the cost as the larger the dog, them more anesthesia they'll need to use.

even if it's a 10 minute operation, there are other things involved besides the surgical procedure -- anesthetic, paying the assistant, medications the dog might need, cost of disposable surgical supples and the list goes on.... it's not just the vet's time you are paying for.

i think you probably need to contact the vet to find out how much he or she would charge for the surgery.

i hope your dog is ok.

It'll depend on what the vet will have to do most likely but I wouldn't think to remove something that small it should cost too much. I would think not over 200 at the most.

You need to take him to be examined by a vet. What type of lump is this?? it could be a simple fatty tumor to something more serious like cancer ad each surgery and vet the charges differ

the surgery itself wouldn't cost much. it's the anesthesia that would be the bulk of the cost, and if you wanted the lump checked in case it's cancerous that would cost a little more. i wouldn't think it would cost more than the hernia surgery.

There is really no way to answer this question correctly. I would suggest that you ask a vet. Good luck! : )
