Saying I found Jesus and saying I found God are the same, because God the Father and God the Son are One. Find a good Bible Study group in your area. I read the King James version of the Bible, but a lot of people like the NIV which is the New International Version.
The church is a support group and if they see you going down the wrong path or vice versus you can help each other. You are a new Christian and that is wonderful. Get baptised and learn God's word. Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you each morning and listen to your conscience as you do good in all that you do. Have malice for no one, but always show love. You are now a child of God so do not be offended and do not offend except in truth. The Word of God does not set well with the unbelieving wicked, but it is powerful enough to change hearts and minds. Do not ever be ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ because it is the power of God unto Salvation. Read Romans 1:16
I hope this helped. It was said in love. May God Bless You!

Just keep at it. Read your Bible, go to a church where your fellow believers can help you along on your journey and know that He is with you ..He evens states that. So don't give up..ok. As for the other question ...Jesus is part of the Trinity ...God the Father, God the Son and the Holy Spirit.
They are the same but they are different...it's really hard to comprehend...I too find it difficult also. I hope in some small way this helps. I will keep you in my prayers and God Bless!!

Personally, I have issues with formal religion. I do however believe in Christ and His teachings. Have you tried asking for Him to show himself to you? Read what he said and about his belief in peace. Yes, Christ is God, the son of God. The Holy Spirit is how he speaks to you in a small still voice, in you. Learn to hear that voice, for me that requires meditation and practice. I hear of a lot of those that have these huge experiences and that is fine. Whatever you do, don't forget to use your God given brain and heart, don't believe everything you hear. Too many people fall into religion and forget they have a mind. It is never evil to ask questions or doubt, when you ask to be shown, trust what is given to you, not what others tell you. Don't blindly follow. Your questions are not dumb and anyone that says they totally understand the trinity are liars, even the most educated religious clergy cannot explain this mystery, so the question you ask is a great one!

"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you" Matthew 7:7
This verse from the gospel of Matthew refers to seeking Jesus which you are doing. By reading the Bible and learning who Christ is, you will come to find Him. Prayer and Bible study are the methods for developing a life-long relationship with Jesus. Check out Bible.org for on-line resources and commentary.
Your questions are not dumb. It can be a bit confusing to try to comprehend the Trinity. God is infinite, but as Christians we can identify three aspects of Him described in the Bible: God the Father and Creator, Jesus the Redeemer (both man and God), and the Holy Spirit (God's presence in you).

Dear Truth-seeing Brother, JC, in Jesus here,
First, please read carefully, Cindy Roo's very good comments; she has said much as I was planning to do. :))
The fact that you are looking for a personal spiritual Relationship with our One Sovereign Savior God-Man Jesus Christ is PROOF that God and Jesus, as One Combined Spirit here, have first found you ! God's Spirit(s), above and within, are the real Source of your perfection-hunger and desire to really know and later follow our wonderful Savior !
From you previous questions, I see that you are now having a difficult life -- probably (just a guess) from mostly your own choices, and not forced upon you by others. In my youth of ages 12-36 years, I was in a similar lack-of-control condition and got into troubles that I should not have. All of that was a good (when over !) learning experience. I then had no idea that God sends his pure spirit Essence down into you at about age 6, and thus FIRST BECOMES AS YOU ARE, so that YOU can much later (trillion plus years in many ever higher Heavens) BECOME PERFECT AS HE IS ! Yes, this sounds very fantastic, but HE IS True ....
It is not good to ever pollute your body or mind -- both are spiritual poisons. Forget about vitamin pills for your body, you need more Spirit "vitamins" to faster transform your mind and soul. If you are under age 35 (probably) then the mind changes will predominate, after that (on average) your soul awareness will grow faster.
How much Real Knowing of God and Jesus do you really want? Most Christians are happy with an indirect, weak, second-hand religion, looking for some human minister/pastor/priest to do all of the preaching and teaching for them. If you want a BIG, transforming, direct personal God-conscious experience; you must be a sincere, persistent SEEKER as yourself. Take time everday to focus on Reality, reflect in God's Spirit, pray, worship (that helps you to receive more, not God Who has ALL now ! and He looses nothing in His Ever freely giving !)
Get a good RSV or similar Bible, or read online, and concentrate mainly on the best parts of the Gospel of John. Read John slowly many times in faith that God's Spirit will open these great Truths up to you. Use highlighter pens on the best verses. Then Read Romans chapter 8 on our sonship in God here and now ! Avoid any negative passages --most of that bad stuff is just man-made and not as Jesus would say. IF it sounds as if Jesus whould have said it; He probably did; if not, He most probably did not. This is He our Father-Son Spirit of Truth Living and Teaching here and now ! John 16:7-16 is very super-ultra-absolutely important !! Also John 12:31-32 is all True !!!
If you have any questions, please email me. Freely we have received from Jesus our God; and freely we share with all who so desire Him, or will later. :))
Peace and progress,
Brother Dave, a Jesusonian Christian Truthist

JC: Look all around you each and everyday, who do you think created all of the beauty on our earth? Look deep within yourself, in your heart and you will find what you are looking for. Be patient and you will find it and feel it. Sometimes we can't see the forrest for the trees because we are standing to closely. I can tell from what you have written that Jesus is with you already. Do Not Give Up!!! Good luck and God Bless!! You are on the right track!!

Look, we all struggle with life's problems and the bewildering questions at the root of all life and existence, but buying into a delusional cult isn't the answer. You're saying it yourself, you're reaching out and there's nothing there. Religion is a crutch for people who lack inner strength. Maybe you're tired of being strong for your own sake, but don't give up on rational thought just because life is hard. Good luck with everything, I hope you find some peace.

If you believe that Jesus, who is God, died for your sins on the cross and rose again, you will be saved from hell, and have eternal life in heaven forever. But if you reject believing this to your dying breath, you will go to eternal hell.

He's lost??
Try missing person's.
In a serious answer, research the denominations and then go to the closest church until you find one that feels right.
