Check the back and drawers for a "maker's mark" . Who was the manufacturer? What type of pulls it has will help further classify it.

First u should have some pictures, name of mfg, dimensions, etc. The more info the easier it would be for an appraiser.
Then u could check ebay for similar items. Or u could google furniture appraisers. u could even post pics right here on Y answers. This should lead u to a satisfactory answer.
