"While Christians have no need for prozac, self help books or psychologist. "
Bull. You just made that up, yet again.
Doesn't the fact that you have to lie so much to defend your beliefs tell you something about the quality of those beliefs? It should.

Your premise is simply not supportable. The idea that Christians don'ts suffer from depression is not true. If you have an interest in the truth, you can look at this website for the American Association of Christian Counselors...a group that is all about helping Christians that are having problems with issues such as depression.
And Mother Teresa is as much a Christian as any. Catholicism, despite the wishes of some fundementalist dogma is still defined as a Christian faith, because it is based on the belief of Jesus as savior. You don't have to be a Baptist to be Christian. Besides...she singlehandedly did more to bring hope and love to people (something that Jesus was about, right?) than any of the Pat Robertsons or Jerry Falwells of the world.

I know many Christians who need psychiatrists and prozac. Whether they admit it or not does not change the fact that they could use such help. There are Christains who do take prozac and other meds and many who see psychiatrists. My own brother took similar pills by the handfull and saw a psychiatrist regularly, and he was a Christian. I am an atheist, and I have no need for such stuff. Self-help books are nonsense. You are distorting things, as Christians often do. You are lying in the case of my family and many other people I know. There is a commandment about bearing false witness. Many Christians I know who are intelligent say that such people as you drive many wise men away from churches. What hypocrisy to say you are a Christian while flagrantly violating several rules by which Christians are supposed to live.

Oh hogwash. Just because you've never heard of a depressed Christian doesn't mean they don't exist. You have obviously done no research on that matter. Ever heard of a chemical imbalance???
And Mother Teresa was the epitome if a Christian - I suppose you think you're better than her, of course. Well, once you go live the life of service that she did, you let us know.
Self-righteous people like you make me sick.

Well you've been busy then! Meeting every Christian that there is. Not only that but getting them to tell you about their medical history! How is xenu these days? Maybe some Christians like you don't need Prozac but you may need some Olanzapine for your delusions!

An example of someone who lives with his head in the sand, or, if someone who claims to be Christian and is depressed and taking Prozac Theo will say they really aren't Christian. I wonder what Christians who have been saved from the depths of serious depression by modern medicine and dedicated therapists would say to this guy.

Psychologists, like scientific docs, nurses, social workers, and distinctive different care givers are presents from God. maximum clergymen and pastors at the instant are not qualified to be counseling those with severe psychological or emotional problems. And if a drug (a chemical) is a scientific necessity to make somebody extra useful, to develop their well being, then so be it.

I don't know, normally psychologists CANNOT prescribe medicine.
However, I had a feeling because they know when to see a Psychiatrist / Psychologists when they need one rather then paying money to the pastor or priest.
By the way, Catholics are christians, where were you born where Catholics are not chrisitans? Mars? I don't know your Jesus Christs preaches in Mars too.

you are either nuts or blind.. considering the minority of people outside christianity in North America there is no possible way that you are correct... further more WE the non christian public use self help books to heal ourselves against your christians addiction (religion)... besides booze and pot work better so we prefer that route.. you christians are on medication way more than we are and we are getting free from your religious hang ups as well ....

Really? What am I doing wrong? You see, I have never been on a mood-altering medication or had to go to a therapist in my life.
I guess all that Buddhist 'garbage' about meditation, compassion, and right-mindedness isn't working...
Maybe instead of meditating and finding my inner peace, I should take some ambien?
