You might want to try the Cockney Rhyming Slang dictionary at http://www.cockneyrhymingslang.co.uk/ . It lists hundred of cokcney terms with explanations, plus a history of cockeny traditions. It even has a cockney-to-English, Englosh-tocockney translator!

Many of the terms listed come from Eric Partridge's Dictionary of Slang, which is available at most public libraries.

Where they are all going wrong is that in Cockney, they would never need to use the whole phrase.
Plates is enough, Apples is adequate.
Occasionally they used two words such as "brown bread" but this was unusual.
