it looks like the bottom front tooth from a child, and it goes from black at the tip to tan by the roots!
it was almost creepy because we found it twice, the first time we threw it back into the water, and went back on the next day, and found it again. the odds are low on finding somehting that small in a creek bed twice in a weekend! ha
thanxs though, i dont know what to do with it now though? throw it out or take it somewere?

By it's size and shape, the color would turn brownish since the tooth is dead.....or no longer attached with who or what ever it came from.

Additional information: This may be something that you should inform the authorities about. After all there are a lot of missing children, you may have stumbled into to something.

Take it to your dentist, he will be able to tell you if it's a humans tooth.

Are you sure that is not a shark tooth? They come in those colors and often have a single root showing like a human tooth might.

Off the beach in Venice Florida they have millions of fossilized shark teeth and when you scoop them up you sometimes get ones like that.

Keep digging until you find the rest of the body.....(just kidding)

Ask a dentist they will know.
