hi.i m supposed to do an assignment on biomedical sensor.i need to know about the DEFINITION, TYPES, and APPLICATION of biomedical sensor.it would be better if there are any websites for references.thank you

A transducer that converts human or animal biological conditions to usable electrical signals.

Types:
- pulse sensor
- temperature sensor
- blood oxygen concentration sensor
- blood pressure sensor
- electrocardiogram (heart pulse shape monitor)
- electroencephalogram (brain wave monitor)
- breath CO2 sensor
- CAT scanner, PET scanner, X-ray machine, MRI -- could even be considered for this list.

Applications
-To monitor patients in the hospital for vital statistics (at least the 1st 4 on the list above).
-To monitor vital statistics of astronauts in space
- To monitor vital statistics of certain military ops forces in the field of combat.
