I think it was supposed to be more like What Dreams May Come, but to hear it retold, I can see how ya get the Weekend at Bernie's idea.

All kids remember about Easter is hunting for colored eggs.
It is so steeped in pagan religion and such a mixture of what is true and what is false that most kids have no idea what it is all about. Farm kids knows rabbits don't lay colored eggs.
No idea why Jesus had to die for us to buy back for us what Adam lost. When you ask children what they know about Easter? They are as confused as their adult parents.

The producers of the film had a budget. Otherwise the film would of been over three days.
Apart from this small fact, the film is historically accurate, and should be told in sunday schools.
