who says caring for others is a sign of weakness?

I suspect that you are asking more from a mans standpoint than as both female and male. If you are a caring man who finds joy making others at peace and feel they are truly cared about most men would consider you a weakling. The old stereotypes are still prevalent in society today and it is sad that it is taking a slow turn. People, in general, who have a caring heart and are open to change and emotion are considered weak because of the change in ancient history that war and dominance was a creation of ego and self worth which, in turn, man had the physical strength and prowess and were revered because of it. Hence the change in beliefs of a female deity to male deity. I believe that a person that has a true consideration for others and has no fear of publicly showing their feelings is stronger than anyone else, because it takes bravery, strength, mental focus, to be willing to care for others. It is always easier to say "Oh, they will get over it" or "Someone might see me" and worrying about what others might think. The rewards for caring for others out weighs anything else. Good luck friend.
Blessed be and Peace

more than a source of strength, i would say its an indication of strength. to successfully care for someone who is ill, elderly, disabled, or very young, the caregiver must be a strong and selfless person.oftentimes, expect perhaps in the case of young children, caring for them is a choice. a choice that should be recognised and highly admired.

They think it is a sign of weakness because their heart is growing cold. In the latter days, Christ said many hearts would grow cold.

yeah, um who ever said it was a sign of weakness? I've never in my life heard that from anybody.

Very few think that. And those that do are called sociopaths. But many aren't gullible enough to fall for the lies of others either.
