I asked a question:
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AiHHe3aKe9dDBWpQH4jfTOnsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20070910014725AAR5Z4a

and this is one answer I received:(Which has gotten 2 thumbs up..)

"This is menipulation of his message..You already have killed 650,000 muslims so far. Now, even if you accpet Islam you deserved to be killed. His point is that you can be forgiven if you embrace Islam. "

So I wonder, is this really how Muslims feel? Even if I were to embrace Islam, I should be put to death? I simply ask because I know there are "Christian" answers on here that do not portray the love we are commanded to protray to others and I dont agree with them. Is this the same? Or is this the general feeling among the Islamic Faith?

No this is not a representation of the Muslim community in my view. Those people that believe that don't know their own religion. I mean i am a Muslim revert and most good Muslim i know just would like to be able to express their religion without disturbing others and also trying to live with people of other faiths peacefully, because that what is Islam teaches. Now when someone embraces Islam, whatever he has committed in the past, we cannot touch him because we would be killing our own brother, and that is totally forbidden. In Islam, killing a single person is like killing the whole of human kind. It is God that should be left to judge. And i agree with u. Islam is supposed to portray love, like Christians and i disapprove of whoever tries to do otherwise, whether christian or muslim. I hope this clears your doubts.

Great question! I'm convinced many non-Muslims do this because they think we have brains the size of gnats; therefore, they think we're so dumb and stupid that we don't really know what Islam is all about. When we explain to them what true Islam is all about, we're "in denial"; we're being apologetic. In other words, we're lying. They want us to say what they want to hear, not what they need and should hear. It's really sad. Very sad. They obviously hate Islam and Muslims, and they want us to constantly feed into their insecurity. Like we really have all the time in the world to do that. On a positive note, we must thank Almighty God Allah that there are non-Muslims who refuse to stoop to that level of ignorance and insecurity and respect and honor Islam and Muslims. They are not swayed by all the negative, derogatory media coverage. These are the non-Muslims we should associate and have friendly relations with because they seek common ground with us, not "go for the throat" and attack our differences. As devout, practicing Muslims, we are very capable of speaking for ourselves. And speak, we must! And we must do so very often!

i saw the answer and the question
you said"Or is this the general feeling among the Islamic Faith?
do not mix up here
if you ask do Islam religion call to Islam using force?
simple answer from quran
"la ikraha fi eddin"
meaning
no force in religion
but if you ask me a question how do i feel to that mother(look to my last question"
what ever answer i give is an answer out of personal feelings
so it is forbidden to ask a question and then generalize the answer to a direct connection to Islamic faith
never mind what his answer was right or wrong as long as he did not relate it to quran (as i did on top) or to 7adeeth(prophets speeches)
so its an opinion he personally entitled to have and you must be glad that he is having an opinion facing the world with
why happy because you made all this war with all this killings from all sides in order to introduce democracy to Iraq and now he is practicing the democracy ,so one of the aims of the war has been established,

i think A narD with few lines said it better than i did

Stereotyping doesn't work better with Muslims than it does for other groups.

Groups are composed of individuals. Those individuals tend to be somewhat diverse in their viewpoints.

A better question might be, "Why would any Muslim half-way across the world have ever troubled himself to form a hatred of the US."

Humans have a long history of saving their strongest hatreds for their neighbors, or those just over the hill from where they live.

How did a people half-way across the planet become so focused on the US and come to believe the US was their problem, instead of the people closer to them?

No, that is not how muslims feel, or rather, should feel...what you said is right..forced conversions are not all allowed in islam..no matter how much they threaten you, you can never be a true muslim unless you feel so from the bottom of your heart..so, not only are forced conversions forbidden, they are also invalid...As for the first few answerers, don't listen to what they say...they seem to have a bias against islam, and don't seem to know much abt islam..

Hmm . . . so if I say that Christians say that all Muslims should be killed regardless of whether or not they agree to convert to Christianity, does that mean that all Christians feel that way?

You have no idea if the person who gave that answer is actually Muslim, just like you'd have no idea if I were Christian or not (it so happens that I'm not.)

If he/she is Muslim, then he could just represent a fringe element . . . or just himself. The majority of Muslim posters on YA are bending over backwards trying to tell you that they don't agree.

On that question; you had many diverse answers. I'm not sure why your dwelling on this one.

But NOT, that answer does NOT speak on my behalf as a Muslim. I don't believe in Osama Bin Ladens message, nor do I think he is Muslim anyway. He has created his own interpretations and/or beliefs in which he attached to Islam.

Also, there are millions of muslims in the world. You cannot judge them all based on one person's opnions/comments.

By Any Means Necessary said it!!!!

I don't agree with terrorism but I will not apologize for things I have not done or am not involved with. I get the feeling more and more that an apology is what people want because we can flat speak against it in one breath and in the next they are telling us that they never hear us say anything.

I will say however that the US army has killed many innocents and US policy has as well, not that I think you will listen to me...
