If NASCAR follows the pattern developed this season, both Gordon and Johnson will be docked at least 100 driver points, their teams will lose at least 100 car owner points and their crew chiefs fined $100,000 or more and suspended for at least six weeks.

From all the answers I see on this website, I can certainly determine most of you are idiots and have no sense of what is right and wrong.
And with all the hate always directed at Gordon it is clear that you are in denial about just how bad your favorite driver really must be so you have to find some way to make yourself feel better. What better way than blame everyone else such as Jeff Gordon for being a future legend, NASCAR for being blind, and the fans for being too loud and disturbing your drivers focus.
It is obvious that there just simply must be a conspiracy and somehow Jeff Gordon with no major connections when he started NASCAR must have some powerful friends making all this happen. Maybe it's a magic car? We all know that your driver deserves to win and somehow because Jeff Gordon seems to do better than your driver, it must be an something besides the fact your driver just is not as good. But then, here is a thought, even IF Gordon was in a magic car, shouldn't your driver be in second place if he is really that good?
I love the new one that Dale Jr's cars must be being sabotage and that's why he isn't winning races and blowing up engines. Ever stop to consider that he is pushing the car too hard? Ever notice that a lot of drivers will try to save the car and only push it at the end? Maybe there is a reason for that? BUt of course not for your driver....
Wake up or find a better way to hide your ignorance.

Nascar won't fine Gordon at this point. He would have been black flagged during the race. I'm not a Gordon fan, but this was not intentional. Sometimes these things happen. Its just a part of racing. It really happens alot more on the track than what they show on tv.

OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!
listen to yourselves one little accident and its all Gordon's fault, guess what Ricky Rudd has been in a lot worse than what he was in Cali. Just ask him he will tell you.
He is not asking for Jeff's head on platter so why should you?
Just because your driver did not make chase or did not win a race doesn't not mean you can accuse winners of cheating.
If they had cheated and they have on many notable occasions, NASCAR would have caught it. NASCAR has learned through bitter experience they need to watch things closely and listen to what the drivers have to say after a accident. They are not all on purpose if they were Do YOU REALLY THINK TONY STEWART would still be allowed to race or any new driver would still be allowed to race . Hell take Juan Pablo Montoya for example if they were all on purpose why is that maniac still being allowed to race?
You know Hendricks is given a bad rep becasue he wins but I dont hear you going on about Rousche like him getting around the four team rule do i so give it rest, and come up with some new and better answers! GEEWIZZ!

No matter how much you dislike Jeff Gordan, Nascar is not going to hand out a penalty for rough driving after the race is over!
If we penalize every driver that causes a wreck where would this sport be?
It's racing and things will happen!
I'm not a Jeff Gordan fan. If someone throw a bag of nails on the track he would be the only one not to get a flat.
The racing gods have taken care of him over the years!
You can't beat luck and besides that he is a heck of a good driver!

What should he be penalized for??
Cars get loose. That is why they are always adjusting them. If you watched this weeks race you know that Dale Jr's car got a little loose he was just far enough away not to hit Gordon. Gordon did not hit Rudd on purpose.
Let it go.

That's one of the stupidest questions I've seen this year. David Wreck 'Em, Tony Stewart, both Busches, Juan Pablo Montoya and MANY others would have to be fined or suspended before they worried about Jeff Gordon's driving. Jr's wreck in the Bud Shootout was much more stupid and could have potentially hurt way more drivers than the incident at California. Don't let your hate cloud your judgement that bad, try some green tea and meditation. Hmmmmmmm, in through the nose out through the mouth, hmmmmmmm.

Oh please. I don't hear Rudd complaining. These guys are going almost 200mph. If one guy checks up and one guy doesn't, this happens. Every accident on the track isn't intentional.
Get a life. Oh wait, you can't cause your guy is gonna be Jeff's teammate next yr. Which I can't wait to see. He always blames the equipment or someone else at DEI. Who's he gonna blame at Hendrick when he can't win there either.
He sure can't blame the equipment. Cause he'll have the best, there.

If a driver is accused of rough driving on the track, they are not penalized points, they are held one or more laps on pit row. If they create a hazard on pit row or during a yellow flag, then the are penalized.
Just because you don't like a driver, doesn't mean you just put unwarranted fines.
