I am a working mother who have been pumping my milk during the day. My daughter is now 26 months old, although she does not ask to be nursed during the night, she keeps on asking during waking hour and before sleeping. Why I am asking, because my job requires me to do more now and my supply has been decreased to only 80 ml/day pumped milk. I do not want to wean her suddenly as I did to her 2 brothers, I want her to have a child-led weaning, although I do not have any info regarding this.
Please help, because most of the sites previous answerers to previous questions already gave do not have the info I need.

When my first daughter was two, I was back at work full time and not pumping anymore (did not have time to at work). My daughter nursed mornings before I got up to go to work and again when I got home, and once or twice more before bed. When my supply dropped a little, she just fed more often in the afternoon until it satisfied her again, and weaned herself at just over three years old. As long as you let your daughter have access to the breast when she demands it, there will still be a bit of milk for her, which will allow her to wean herself when she is ready.

CONGRATULATIONS for getting this far! PS remember that she gets far more out of the breast than a pump can.

It is a supply and demand thing, if the demand isn't there then the supply will go away. Pumping may be just keeping your milk supply going, if only just a little. If you want to have a child-led weaning then maybe you need to pump a little during the day to keep your supply going.
Hope that helps.

My wife had no luck pumping and wound up weaning our daughter that way. She worked during the day and breast fed her in the evening and night. Her milk slowly dried up over a month or two this way.

I nursed my older daughter only in the mornings for close to a year (age about 12-22 months) without pumping anything.
