Do my beliefs stand up to logical/scientific scrutiny in light of Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle and Quantum Theory?

No, and it's almost a self-refuting position anyway - Where did all the detail (for want of a better word) come from, if not from genuine randomness?

Well, Determinism becomes increasingly unfocused as you get into smaller systems, and it falls to bits entirely at De Broglie's Limit.
But that isn't a problem in the normal world, anymore than Relativity effects need to be taken into account when driving your car. Just don't try to predict the weather.

I wince whenever anyone tries to challenge philosophers on Heisenberg, or "Quantum Theory" as if it is one singular, comprenehsive thing. I'll give you the truest and most pure Philosopher-esque answer you'll ever recieve:

Maybe. But more likely you'll change your views every five years for the next 35-40, on every subject imaginable.
Maybe atheistic determinism will be one that changes.

A better question would be why an eight year old would have believed that he could have possibly resolved with certitude questions of ultimacy, ontology, and teleology... The path to philosophy does not begin with ideas, it begins with a wisdom born of humility.

Potentially yes but then again, there is only tenuous thoughts that anything below the molecular level has any effect on conscious thought.

At particle level, your atheism becomes irrelevant. Determinism is already irrelevant.
