When writing in French, how do I say "my friends"... is it "mes amies"? I need the spelling correct also! THANKS!

mes amies:for girls only
mes amis:either if there are only boys, or if there are boys and girls

It's "mes amies" if they're all girls. It's "mes amis" if they're all boys. I think it's ok to go with "mes amis" if there are some of each, but some would prefer "mes ami(e)s" or "mes amis et amies".

Mes amies = only girls
Mes amis = only boys or girls and boys

mes amies/copines/camarades = female friends
mes amis/copains/camarades = male friends

Your "camarades" are your classmates, etc.--people with whom you are friendly, but not your very closest most intimate friends.
