Get this: Union City, GA bills itself as "the Progressive City." What an embarrassment! I wonder if the employee was an African American. Georgia is notorious for treating their minorities badly.

Or is this just another example of someone with a "real job" treating a worker in the service industry like crap. No doubt this cop is a petty tyrant and a petty bourgeoisie. He's probably on the take.

Where is the justice?

I guess his next important arrest will be at Dunkin Donut's for someone putting too much powdered sugar on his donut and getting it on his uniform. Actually, if he is real smart he can bring his powdered uniform to a dry cleaners in D.C.; hope it gets mis-placed; and then sue them for 60 million dollars.

The Officer did charger her and she was arraigned and released on bail. Justice is not found in an arrest. An arrest is just the act of bringing a charge against someone. The woman will get her day in court and will have the benefit of an attorney. She will have to be found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt during her trial. If she is convicted then she will be sentenced. If she is acquitted then she will be cleared of the charges and in a hundred year (probably less) no one will remember this. Once all of that is said and done then we can talk about justice.

I wasn't there so I will hold my rant for later. They did send the burger to a crime lab. The results should be interesting.

I love how people want to make race an issue in this. I tried to find a picture of the officer so I could figure out if he was white or black and couldn't but it would be funny if he was a black guy. I know I wanted to post a link to his photo so everyone here could quit pulling cards out of the race deck.

As a police officer i'm going to guard any of my brothers and sisters until eventually they are shown responsible of against the regulation or I see that they did some thing incorrect. examine it on your loved ones. whether, I doubt that many peoples family participants will force 100MPH during city whilst the are in contact in a combat or in threat. So, i've got faith that the bond could actually be tighter between some regulation enforcement and family participants. To the tale to hand. The youthful lady knew that "a minimum of" salt improve into spilled. How stressful is it to drop one greater burger on the grill? i think it extremely is particularly stressful whilst the guy/ gal interior the force window yells, "its for a cop." Or, she sees the squad on the closed circuit digital camera. I worked rapid foodstuff as a severe schooler. i understand the way it works...absolutely everyone seems to be asinine to act like issues like this do no longer ensue in rapid foodstuff.

I live in Georgia, and all I can tell you is this is typical for Georgia cops. What's worse is that the DAs office will go ahead with the charges because if they don't, they would be admitting the cop was stupid. They would rather destroy the girl as admit one of their own made a mistake. Race may play a part in it, but I do have to say the system treats everyone WRONG, no matter the color of skin.

Sadly, many parts of the South (as well as other areas of the States), are still very racist and pregidous. Also, many people in positions of power (such as the cop in this story), abuse it beacuse they think they are owed something. When, in reality...I think that anyone who abuses their power should have their job taken away. :p The cop should have been out doing real police work, rather than using his power to arrest a poor girl at a fast-food place. I mean, honestly. That's just freaking retarded. People are being shot and dying, but cops are chilling out at McDonald's and Burger Kings? What's up with that, guys?

I wouldn't be surprised if the cop was a white egoist/elitist; and, yes...even if she wasn't a minority, the sheer fact that she has a "lower class job" plays a large part in the story.

I've worked 2+ years in the fast food industry: it's no lower of a job than any other job. Someone has to do it, and people should respect for those that prepare their food/pump their gas/do their dry-cleaning/clean their houses/etc.

Anyways, I think the whole thing is stupid. Cops need to do their jobs. Plain and simple. Stop wasting time with ridiculous crap.

Kendra Bull is a black woman. I have found no indication about the race of the arresting officer or of the two other officers called to back up the arrest.

Atlanta's mayor, police chief, etc are minorities.

If you think the rest of the country treats minorities better than the South, you are mistaken. Racism is alive and well EVERYWHERE in this country, not just the South.

For all you know, the officer was African American.

Yes. And they also sent the burger to a crime lab for analysis. Talk about a waste of money.
