Children, like servants, have to be told what to do and don't. So the higher exhortation for servants of righteousness is "thou art no more a servant". For only above a servant(slave) is truly free.

In Ephesians 4, he is talking about letting our believes tossed about, in other words Jesus came and died for our sins on the cross, arose from the grave the third day, washing away our sins forever, now all we need to do is believe, Eph. chapter 2 verses 8&9 For by grace are you saved thur faith. This is the dotrine Paul was talking about, believing in the one and only son of God for everlasting life. Have you ever made that decision for Christ, have you ever said the sinners prayer admitting to God you are a sinner, if not you can right now, just say this prayer and Jesus will come into your heart and save you, Dear Jesus, I know and confess that I am sinner in need of salvation. I believe you died on a cross at calvery and arose from the grave to wash away my sins, I ask you right now to come into my heart and save me, I pray this Prayer believing in the name of Jesus Amen. If you prayed this prayer with a sincere heart you are now a child of God, rejoice that your name is written in the Lambs book of Life. A servant knowing he/she is a servant can be free in their heart, especially to serve Jesus.
Are you so hard of heart, spiritually blind, lost as you are tossed around??
Children live simple lives. Don't complicate it. SIMPLify.
