hello.People who have read my previous questions know that i got a dog off of craigslist.org. She is going well. When i got her, I figured out she was pregnant by the size of her teats(nipples) that was 65 days ago... I'm assuming based on how long ago i got her that it is coming to an end finally. But what is the maximum pregnancy length? Because all the pups are big and seem to be healthy. Though i cant technially see them, I can look at her tummy and see them moving around a lot. And a lot recently, the pups appear to be rotating so one secondshe will look fat, the next, she will be thinner. then fat again. So any advice reguarding this info would really help
BTW:Like i said, I did not breed her. and, Her previous owner said the father is a chihuahua. So i dont think will have complications. Also, I plan on spaying her when the pups are wheaned. And one last thing, She has a whelping box in a quiet and warm environment.
her temperature is about 99.5 as of one hour ago

You are full of BS. Just admit you bred this dog already. Because 65 days ago when you got her she would NOT have had big teats already. Thats like stating she got pregnant the day you got her and had signs already. WE WERE NOT BORN YESTERDAY.
Gestation is 63 days so you got her 65 days ago and realized she was already pregnant. You are a joke. If you are going to lie about this stuff you really need to get better at it. This is far fetched as hell.
Get her to the vet and get a check up. Get her spayed. You have no business breeding dogs and do NOT try to tell us you did not do this. Your stupid lies make it obvious that you did.

You should take her to the vet, just to make sure everything is okay!
When you got the dog you should have taken her ot vet to make sure everything was okay than but since there is nothing you can do to stop the puppies from coming
makes sure she has plenty of water and dont leave her alone, if shes not a chihuahua than make sure you stay by her side to completely make sure nothing goes wrong.
I know how you feel, I have a litter of 7 goldens I delivered almost 6 weeks ago and the week before she was gonna deliver the pups were kicking and I was so excited and I wanted her ot have the puppies already.
But be patient she will be giving birth soon!
Good Luck, let me know how everything goes!

She should be ready for dropping them now as said above she will get restless and start digging into her bed.
My dog had her pups 10 weeks ago her first litter she was restless the night before then again from 10 the next morning she started to have her pups from 11 onwards, usually she should manage ok, do stay with her enjoy her giving birth and do not hesitate to call the vet if you feel she is not well or strugglings.
Good luck are you sure you have your dates correct I would not let it go for much longer.

Your dog should deliver any day now. I don't know what kind of dog she is but you should take her to a vet today if possible to be checked out. Delivery can be very difficult and although often the dog can deliver and clean the pups on her own, just as often they need help and someone who is not experienced with whelping could lose precious time. For the safety of your dog and her pups, your vet should be aware of her condition and standing by to help if needed. I'm very glad to hear that you will have her spayed as soon as it is safe to do so. Good luck.

Pregnancy in the dog lasts approximately 63 days. The normal due date can be about 1 week either side of the predicted 63 days. In cases of large litters, length is usually lessened. In cases of small litter numbers, length may increase.

You will have to watch for her "nesting" and she will also pant alot, when she begins this , put her in the room with the whelping box, and leave her to herself...checking on her every once in a while...If this is her first litter, really watch her close, to see if she knows what to do when the pups are born...most Moms do, but it is good to watch her

since her temp is lowering and teh positioning of the pups she should have them in within 48 hours
Just so you know I find it best to use a LOT of news paper with blankets and the mother constantly digging between pups the pupps often get lost in the blanket and I have had 2 sufficate in blankets.
Also if the papers get too messy it's eassier to keep changed.
Good Luck

You never took her in to be evaluated by a vet? Pre-natal care usually has an xray to make sure their is more than one puppy. A bigger litter is better in many ways because the pups are smaller and easier to pass.
I had my female into the vet last Thursday. Her temp was 98.5. We are still waiting. The temp means nothing.

just signed on so i did not see the other ?'s... what breed is she??.... for most animals giving birth, you will notice a change in behavior.. circling, digging, sniffing,, then panting, grunting, or other sounds..
call your vet if you need help tho.
