YES! As a LEGAL immigrant to this country from England, I get annoyed when illegal demand their 'rights' to work and live and vote in this country, and have large marches demanding their rights!

But, no one thinks of the Legal immigrants many who are here on dependent visas,
~who can not work,
~Can not vote (even in town wide elections), even though we pay taxes.
~Are not allowed a SSN, which makes it very difficult to get a credit card, open a bank account, obtain credit in their own name, without the help of their husband/wife who is working.
~Can not claim any form of social benefits.
~Must leave the country within 90 days of the main visa holder's death or they will be deported, even if they have children born in the USA, and still have a valid visa to live here.

Is this fair???? these legal immigrants have gone through background checks, financial checks etc

This situation changes once they are granted a green card, where you have to wait another few years to apply to become a US citizen, where you can then vote.

You know why you don't see Legals marching up and down outside Walmart with banners, as we are following the US immigration law, and if I did that and was arrested, they would put me on the next flight to the UK, and I would be classed 'unsuitable'

BINGO!!!!

I have always been excited to help people immigrate LEGALLY and have done so on several occasions.

What I have noticed since 9/11 and especially since the marches last year is how our LEGAL, USA-Loving residents are FORCED to walk on eggshells and guard their every move!

They watch tattooed, gang-painted, shirtless, profane, brazen hoodlums march through the streets screaming obscenities, carrying foreign flags in hateful disrespect of the nation they demand respect FROM, and then see politicians wimp out for them!

The legals get deported far more often than the illegals (by percentage) simply because they choose to remain accountable. They get NO benefits, no welfare, no assistance, no in-state tuition, NOTHING!!!!

And yet they're the first to be pulled out of class for misfiling a single document and then deported. The most gut-wrenching example is that of Victoria Chiwara (see link).

She was taken from her college class earlier this year and sent to a detention center, then deported. Why? Her attorney misfiled a document. She was, in every remaining way, LEGAL and had done all she was told to do.

This thing is so screwed up, we'll need an all out revolution to fix it.

Enough is ENOUGH!!!

Well if your grammer and spelling are any indication of the education and skill level of these "friends" who are leaving I'd have to say we are better off.
