Hi,
I had to give my kitten away as i had no garden and was going to be working full time. I feel to totally lonley, upset.
I hate being on my own in my flat i just feel depressed and just want to go out all the time. How can i start to feel better and grow to like my home again? Is this feeling normal?

What you are experiencing is called regret. Learn from it and don't repeat it. Don't try to replace this pet. Don't get another one of any kind till you can commit to the life time of the pet. It isn't far to the animal and as you have found it even comes back on you. Only you know what is missing in your life. It may be in fact this kitten is only a small part of your regrets. Maybe it it time to work on yourself and what you want from your own life before adding anything else to it. Evita

It is a very normal reaction when you miss something that you love. There is also the lack of companionship and schedule pf taking care or a cat.

Perhaps you should go to a full grown cat instead of a kitten. Cats are usually independent and not miss you the way that a dog does.

You could also try to get a hobby. You can speak to people on the Internet.

Good luck.

awwww poor u!! Get a small pet like a chinchilla! they can be kept in cages and are the sweetest things. There livespan is like a cats, they are a brilliant animal to keep u entertained. If you are going to be away a lot- then get two so they wont be lonely while ur at work- even more fun!!

my suggestion would be get an indoor rescue cat that doest like to much fussing but loves a cuddle in the evening oor... get a gerbil hampster or rat as they tend to come out in the evening :) thats just on the range of getting another pet... u could of course get relaxation classes

Sounds like the kitten was your only friend. Maybe you need to try to find a friend you can do things with.

Well it sounds like you're associating the flat with the loss of your kitten- why didn't you just get two kittens then they would've had each other.

You gave up too easy.
