No one chooses to be an addict, I'm sorry too you relapsed, Depending on what state you are in there are state run re-habs my daughter was in one for 4 months. I have to wonder why they released you while still detoxing. And yes if mom is willing she may be saving you with her money but you must complete it and do it for you & her. Sometimes while still on it AA & NA aren't enough til after re-hab but do something quick Good luck

Your problem sounds severe. Yes, by all means have mom dip into her savings, she may be saving your life. There are free programs for detox. Call local health dept to see if any are available. Most addicts at some point DO choose to get into drugs. Perhaps your addiction came as a result of pain from an accident, etc. No matter, you are headed down a spiral road that ends in death. Go now and get some help, you may not have another chance.

Well it couldn't hurt to try the NA/AA route. It really depends on how bad your withdrawals are and what they are from.
If your withdrawals are severe enough to cause complications like seizures or something you should go to the emergency room and they would be able to help you out.
http://www.whatwinnersdo.com is my personal addiction recovery site. I have detoxed from opiates and have been clean since January 26th of this year...feel free to check it out Good Luck.

Your rehab place should of had you set up with a "what if"
plan. Incase you relapesed/
Think about it this way....you can spend money on drugs and the destruction left in it's wake.
You are more valuable than the drugs & drinking.
It will be the a rough road, but believe me you gotta do it without relapseing. Your life depends on it,
You can't imagine the sorrow your death would cause your family. I have known first hand

Make 90 meetings in 90 days, get a sponser and use her/him. Build a support group. Raise your hand at the meeting and get phone numbers. Call the people on the list. You must change people place and things that have to do with your addiction. But first you must not want to use. Ask God, or something bigger than you to remove the desire from you and eventually you will wake up one day and not have the desire to get high.
Good Luck, God Bless, and Stay Clean.... you never have to use again!

I'm really sorry to hear that. It's hard but your doing the right thing.
You should go to AA, and join a support group other than AA.
You need to meet new people and make sure all the people in your life and contributing in a positive way.
You should do all this only if you think YOU as worth it?

no u didnt and you should know that after you get away from the drugs and drinking you will have to change allof your friends as well just going to a place that you used to use at will make your body yearn for it i have been off of cocaine for 3 years and to this day if a certain person calls me my nose runs it sounds crazy but it is true you will not be able to quit until u are ready so no it is not fair to use her retirement funds but when you are ready u will know and you will know it is time to move on to the next step in your life dont let a substance run you . you have to be stronger than that goodluck

are there any ways to get help on your own without using her money ? state programs/ sliding fees / try a different place. do not give up . you can do this . i go on diets all the time and relapse with a slice of pie . i don't mean to make light of your situation , just keep calling /researching /asking for help and try to get it on your own so that you don't have to dip into mom's retirmement.

Do not give up....if you do not have a steady income of your own and a lot of resources, you should qualify for a program funded by your state... Try AA and NA - any programs offered...but please avoid having Mom`s retirement wiped out....no doubt she would willingly do so, but love her back enough to not let her...
