My girlfriend was talking to me on the phone last night and asked me if it was ok if she went to a dance. We've been dating 3 months and she knows I'm not a dancer. But she said she's willing to teach me. But she didn't even ask me to go to the dance she just asked if I would let her go. You see I don't want to say NO and be a party pooper here, but sometimes I really do not trust her, it's sad to say but I have my reasons. and I worry a lot and get jealous easily. Mostly my fault, not hers. But I don't know what to do. I mean even if I'm not a dancer and wouldn't have gone to the dance, an invite still would've been nice. If she asked "there's a dance coming up do you want to go?" then I would've liked it more cause at least it shows she wants me to go. I really have NO idea on what to tell her. I want her to have fun but then again it worries me when she's out like that... what should I do? She knows I don't trust her sometimes. I need some advice here.

For one thing it's not MY fault she asked me so don't say I'm being a parent... another thing is I trust her normaly but when I trusted her 100% (like 3 weeks ago) she randomly broke up with me... we got back together like a day later... but that does hurt the whole "trust" thing when it gets crushed like that. I don't know how to dance but it can't be hard, I'd enjoy going and trying to dance... it's all fun and games right? so it wouldn't be much of a problem... we've had a lot of fragile times in our relationship and this is basicly one of them. So I don't know what to do.

has she done or said anything to make you trust her less? if yes, then ya'll need to have a talk asap...i'm not sure you can happily be with someone you dont trust 100%...if it were my boyfriend, i'd probably just flat out ask if he wanted my compnay there or not
and for the record, nto all girls will do exactly what you dont want them to do...if your uncomfortbale with her going, WITH GOOD REASON, and she does anyways, shes being mean and disregarding your feelings...if my bf is uncomfortable with anything, we find a compromise...his feelings SHOULD be important

You have NO choice...she's free, you aren't a parent, just a lover, if that. You can express your feelings and try not to sound like an insecure puppy; but in the end, it's entirely up to her. And why shouldn't she go? You can't dance, have made no effort in the last 3 months to learn how to and she obviously enjoys it. Take a class or get some female friends to help you out and surpise her sometime by taking HER out to dance...she's thank you in ways I can't explain on Yahoo Answers!!!

Mate, mate, mate, mate, mate.
You never ask a question like that on a forum like this. Women are going to chew your a r s e something chronic for that.
The PC answer is to say she is in control herself and you don't get to make this decision.
Good luck mate - you are about to cop it!

You are lucky that she even asked if you would let her go. She has the right to do anything that she wants. If you want to go with her, just tell her.

let her go, she probably just wants to hang with her friends. If she didnt care how you felt she would have ask if she could go. Why dont you trust her?

She's gonna go regardless of what you say. So you might as well just say yes and be the bigger person.
