Gravy- You have to use bacon grease..it is a must....do you know how to make a roux....if so use bacon grease to make a roux and add milk...when it come to a boil it will be at it's thickest...remember you must contently stir. Flavor with salt and pepper. Look just be sure you use this recipe in moderation...or people will say it caused them to have a heart attack. For biscuits follow the link!

Baking powder biscuits, are pretty much the same across the world. Get yourself a Betty Crocker cookbook, or a Better Homes and Gardens cookbook, and use that recipe for rolled biscuits. That is the one I use. Sausage Gravy is even easier.
Cook 1 package Jimmy Dean bulk Breakfast sausage, until done. Remove the sausage, drain on paper towels. Leave the grease in the pan. Add 2 tablespoons of butter, and melt. Add 2 tablespoons of flour, stirring to make a roux. Add 1 12/ cups milk all at once, stirring continuously, until flour is incorporated into the milk. Add salt and pepper to taste. Keep stirring, and turn the heat up to medium high, when mixture is boiling and thickened, return the sausage to the pan. Remove from heat, and serve hot over the biscuits.

BISCUITS:
2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1 tbsp. sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
1 beaten egg
1/3 c. milk
Sift together dry ingredients; cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Combine egg and milk; add to flour mixture all at once. Stir until dough follows fork around bowl. Turn out on lightly floured surface; knead gently with heel of hand about 20 strokes. Roll dough to 3/4 inch thickness. Dip 2 inch biscuit cutter in flour; cut straight down through dough - no twisting. Place on ungreased baking sheet (3/4 inch apart for crusty biscuits, close together for soft sides). If desired, chill 1-3 hours. Bake in a very hot oven, 450 degrees, 10-14 minutes or until golden brown.

SAUSAGE GRAVY:
1/2 lb. bulk sausage
4 tbsp. all-purpose flour
2 1/2 c. milk
Salt and pepper to taste
Cook sausage, crumbling well. Pour off all but 2-3 tablespoons of grease. Sprinkle flour on top. Increase heat to high and cook, stirring, until flour starts to brown. Add milk, stirring constantly and continue cooking until gravy thickens. Add salt and pepper. Serve over hot biscuits or toast.

Flour
Savory Sausage
Milk

Brown your sausage and break it up into small pieces I would reccomend using ground sausage and not links
don't drain the grease
Brown about a cup of flour with the sausage and grease and then pour in milk and stir rapidly I use a wisk
thats it just let thicken and pour over biscuits

you can use sausage grease and flour / about heaping tbslp. then you brown that . add your milk . continue stirring until thick. requires constant attn. if you want to make it with bacon .. use crisco and flour / brown / then add milk. cook your bacon on the side.

biscuits are crisco, flour , clabber girl baking powder. a short cut is there are some new ones larger ones like the grand canned biscuits / they are made by pillsbury / you find them in the frozen section. they are 90 percent there. so much less work :-)
