"You must believe in what we believe! OR DIE!"

Yes. I know Stalin was an atheist. And Hitler may have been. But so?

[[[Do you want to justify Stalin's immorality.
The world hates immorality ang brutality]]]

No! I'm disgusted by what he did as everyone else.

I was trying to say, that just because he was 'evil', doesn't mean all atheists lack morals.

Thats a sweeping generalization. I don't hate Atheists. My best friend is a devout atheist and we've been friends for over 10 years. I don't hate any other atheist either. I respect your beliefs, or lack thereof. What I find detestable is the atheist antagonist who embraces ignorance on the one hand while gesturing madly that they have all knowledge with the other and mouth continually against people of faith. Like Stalin and others, they seem to do most of the hating they just don't have power to back it up. If they did...like Stalin and Hitler...people of faith would be obliterated one way or another...I've heard them say so. Love in Christ, ~J~

Please define "everyone."

I am a Christian and I do not hate anyone. I hate what God hates and that is sin, not the sinners. I want everyone to choose Jesus and have their name written in the Lamb's Book of Life. I want people to live and not have to endure the tribulation or the lake of fire. Contrary to what many of you think, it is not my job to harass you with beliefs. My job is to present the Gospel to you in some way, shape, or form and let the Holy Spirit convict you for salvation.

If people would read the Bible first before they make such outlandish statements, then better dialogue could take place between all people. There might even be "world peace."

I will pray that this animosity is dealt with and I forgive you for lumping me into your scenario.

I do not attempt to 'destroy' anyone's belief. My position is simple and quite clear: I do not believe that gods exist--no more, no less, that's it. As to people hating me because I am an atheist: I would not have anyone hate me, it just isn't my style, but I'm not only an unbeliever but also a humanist, globalist, pacifist, vegetarian, heterosexual, feminist, pro-gay, anti-death penalty, film and stage actor, wealthy, white male southern-born New Yorker/Californian, democratic socialist who votes Green. I reckon somebody's going to 'hate' me for one of those aspects of my being. There isn't a thing I can do about it except to travel almost everywhere with an armed body guard, which I do.

Where does this "everyone" come from.
Come back to earth and learn how to use language.

The correct question could have been: Why do so many Fundies hate atheists?
See how easy it is?

Oh, the answer?
Cos they fear us - they can't believe anyone could be so secure in themselves, by themselves, to not believe in an invisible sky monster.
See - cos they're so powerless without the perceived support of their 'god' they think we must have some 'help' too – ipso facto – we must be Satan’s little helpers cos it’s as far as their tiny minds can go.

according to hazard you misread loss of activity as hatred. As a Christian, I understand your place and agree which you would be able to stay by a ethical code without believing in a god. in case you act the type you assert you do, it perhaps that they won't be able to understand your motives. Many Christians like many Atheists are pompous and experience that their artwork interior the community is praising God. "So how are you able to help your fellow guy without praising God?" a lot of human beings in the time of history have been inhuman and "Deists", many have been atheists. the alternative is likewise genuine. in case you already know you're doing the appropriate difficulty - save on!

not everybody hates atheists. i don't agree with the concept that there is no divine force but i back them up 100% in their right to believe it. It wouldn't surprise me if most other pagans would say the same thing. I have noticed it's mostly the Christians who seem to be picking on them here.

Hitler was a catholic dear. The pope was a nazi suporter in the 1930's and 40's.
Why don't you read a few history books when you have a minute ?
Atheists are hated just by a few religious fanatics, not by everyonne.

For the record:
Hitler abandoned his faith early in his life. He had a very perverted idea Christianity.
Early Christian Roman emperors were not fully Christian. They often used the standards of paganism to rule the Empire, because this was all they knew. They thought this was the way it should be done. They still had many pagan ideas.

I don't hate atheists. Atheists just don't believe in God right? I am a Christian and some of my best friends have been atheists. I don't force my beliefs on them and they don't force me to not believe in God. I believe everyone has a right to their own beliefs and their own opinions.

I don't hate Atheists at all. I dislike that fact that so many here find it necessary to belittle anyone that doesn't share their dislike and at time outright hatred of religion and those that practice them.

I find it hilarious that one second they condemn ALL Christians for claiming to have the "truth" and condemning them for their beliefs and the the very next breath THEY claim to have the real truth and condemn everyone that won't agree with their views.

And Hitler was actually a follower of a sort of Pagan religion put together by one of his followers from bits and pieces of ancient Norse and Germanic mythology and religion. Frankly the only true faith Hitler had was in himself.
