(-: I know it's a joke, but I think the Shih Tzu is Chinese. I didn't get the joke until I read the other answers. I thought it was some sort of involved pun on the fact that Japanese children generally mispronounce "sit" as, ahem.

Imagine the pandemonium. "All right class, sh1t in your seats. I said, sh1t down!"

And I once watched a TV program where the children had to train the guide dogs in English commands. The dog's name was Rabu, which could be variously translated as Lab, love, or rub. "Sh1t down, rabu. Goo boy."
