i want to convert to islam as i believe in its sanctitiy and purity. I want to know the procedures as i live in dubai and want to get it done here. i am an indian by nationality.

Dear brother Meandu.You are welcomed to Islam.In line with islamic teaching all of your sins before becoming a muslim will be forgiven by Alklah you will be having no sin like a new born baby.First of all if you want to convert to Islam it is easy you must contact the nearest management of a mosque and tell them what is your purpose.After that make an appoin
ment when the converting ceremony will take place.You must bring at least 2 persons as witnesses.At the agreed date and hour you come with your witnesses (friends) to the mosque.You must take an oath in front of Imam (the islamic leader) and some winessess that (1) you acknowledge that there is no other God than Allah and(2)you acknowledge too that Muhammad pbuh is the last prophet as messenger of Allah
(3)you must sign a certificate as an evidence that you have been a muslim since that date which will be signed too by the Imam and witness.Then after this ceremony you must shake hands with all winesses in the mosque as your brothers and sisters. That is all dear as a simple ceremony.

Dubai is the best city for that :D I used to live there. simply go to the nearest mosque. They will tell you what to do, but basically as soon as you accept the message of Islam (that there is one God and Mohammed is a messenger of God) and you act upon then you are a muslim : ) . the rest is mostly legal stuff, and to celebrate your new found Iman (faith). So you're already a Muslim now ... alhamdolillah.

quran says
"lan tahdi man a7babt inna Allah yahdi man yashaa"
meaning
you cant bring to righteous whom you loved ,god do bring those who wanted it"
i m sure you felt the light so the rest is easy
you just have the believes in your heart .just that takes you to islam

You can become muslim by saying and believing '' LA ILAHA IL-LALLAH, MOHAMMAD-UR-RASOOLULLAH '' (there is no god but Allah and Mohammad(saw) is HIS messenger ''. Or you can visit any local mosque. This will also help u learn the tenets of Islam. May Allah bless you.

Just now take a bath and say "I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, He is One and He has no partner with Him and Mohammad is His slave and messenger"

I think IPC is everywhere in gulf. Try to find IPC centers (Islamic Presentation Committee.)
