The first things I would recommend are the ones you already mentioned.
What's more important than fun activities, however, is consistent, unconditional support. Your boys might end up deciding something for themselves that you didn't envision for them. They need to know before those types of decisions come up that you will still love them even if they don't pick the option you would've wanted for them. They each have their own different thoughts and feelings, and they will struggle in the future at some point. You can be hard on them in some ways, but don't challenge their identities. They need to be able to form those independently. That's all I have to say about it.

No matter how good , caring and loving parents can be to their children end of the day its up to each individual how they make their life, sure give them a good start but we all make our own choices & choose to the lead the life we do, there are parents who try so hard for their kids but kids turn out to be junkies, lowlifes unfortunetly, and there are parents who dont even try or care about their children but the kids turn out to be doctors, lawyers, caring loving themselves, so you see you can only try so much, you do what we can for them but i would say keep it a limit, dont be too soft, too hard, to kind as kids can take advantage of these but like i said we all individually choose to how we lead our lives, peace.

I am female but have alway had a strong tomboy streak.. When I was a teenager my father and I rebuilt and customized a VW Beetle (completely tricked out KC lights, roll bar, custom cut fenders, caged open engine, CB radio, the works..)
We had a lot of fun and laughs doing it... From draining the oil pan (we got covered in oil in our ineptitude) to designing the custom fender cuts..

I honestly can't say anything good I did with my father because I didn't really have one. But it sounds to me like you're doing just fine, you're there for them and that's what counts. I'm sure they love you as much as I love my mother.

Memories will fade...as long as they appreciate that you love them and care for them that's good enough.
