In the beginning, I would create the entire universe in one instant, in a Big Bang, so that no one could explain the universe as having any cause within the universe.

Then I would give special care to creating a habitable planet of great beauty, between the spiral arms of the Milky Way galaxy, at a perfect distance from a yellow star of just the right magnitude. I would give this star a large, single moon to exert the perfect tidal force.

I would create life on this planet in an explosion of creative force, turning lifeless elements into living cells. Among the many creatures I formed, I would make one in my own image, with the potential for vast intelligence and creativity, but also free will.

As my greatest act, I would send my only Son, who is God, to share the life of these creatures made in my image, to taste the joys of life, to bring the knowledge of me that they otherwise would not know, and to die a terrible death to rescue them from the power of evil.

And here's what I wouldn't do: I would not play to the grandstand. I would not do routine miracles to impress the skeptics. Those with the slightest curiosity about why they exist in all their intelligence, creativity, and freedom on the perfect planet at the perfect spot in an otherwise inexplicable universe will find me without a dog and pony show.

Cheers,
Bruce

Now here is an interesting correlation. In antiquity gods in general appeared before humans all the time either directly or through some manifestation( lightning, swans, burning bushes, voices in the desert, disasters plagues deaths etc). The Iliad and Odyssey are full of such examples so is the epic of Gilgamesh the old testament, the Aeneid etc . through the ages coming to modern times as people found out more about the physical workings of the cosmos godly appearances declined to the point that today if you claim to be talking to god you are considered a basket case. God(s) seem to follow the path of superstition into oblivion.

God sent His Son Jesus into the world, and even some eyewitnesses chose not to believe. Jesus , the Son of God walked among people and some did not believe, even after He rose from the dead. So God has done things to prove He exists and people still don't believe. The question you ask should really read-even if God came to earth again today, would you believe, or would you chose not too. One day Jesus will return to earth and at that time every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord to the glory of God the Father. He has proved Himself, you just have to believe and when you have faith, you can really see Him with your heart. I do!!

I don't know that I could without magically screwing with his free will and his intellect. Anything that anyone might do, possibly even God, can always be attributed to the work of a exquisitely skilled charlatan or illusionist. As Arthur C. Clarke stated, "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic."

What a disjointed question.

To BELIEVE or HAVE FAITH in something means to suppose it is true without proof. If God PROVED his existence to non-believers, there would not be any believers. Only knowers.

Why are you asking about proof? God represents something for which we cannot and will not find true proof. This question makes no sense.

Neither Atheists nor theists have any knowledge whatsoever whether God exists or not, but they accept one notion or the other as a rigid truth anyway. If they accepted the only true fact, which is that no one can be totally certain, this world would get along a lot better.

He already has -everyday-through creation of everything we see, smell, touch, hea, feel -the planet, people, the universe, the very air we breath, conception and birth of all living things-etc. He doesn't have to prove anything,He is God. Read the last 3 chapters or so of the book of Job and the entire bible.

THE FACT THAT ALL SUFFERING GOD EXISTS IS PROVED BY THE FACT THAT HE IS WAITING PATIENTLY FOR THE UNBELIEVER TO SEEK AND TURN TO HIM, rather than finishing him off in the first place.

If I were God, I wouldn't have to prove anything to anybody. In biblical times, He actually came to earth in human form through His son Jesus and did many miracles including bringing back the dead, healing the sick, feeding thousands, walking on water, casting out demons, and I could go on and on.

I would become a man, and live as all men do ... for 30 years or so ... in a quite ordinary fashion ... except for sin.

Before I returned to my rightful place in heaven, I would pick a dozen or so very ordinary men, and spend a few years training them, as my apprentices.

Meanwhile, I would perform a series of powerful and very prophetic miracles, at least one or two of which would involve the totally unprecendented act of defeating death.

Then I would found a church, and send those men out to every nation, commanding them to teach and to baptize in my name, until the whole world was converted.

Then I would allow every kind of decadent, sinful, and corrupt humanity to become part of (and even govern) my church, yet still miraculously bless it and preserve it, until the end of time.

Then I would return in power and great glory ... at a time no one expected ... and hold a day of reckoning ... where all things would be clearly revealed, once and for all.

Oh, that's a deep question, to be honest. If I were God, then I would possess infinite knowledge and be able to understand circumstances. I would reveal myself differently to people based on my wisdom. To think about it, God is Holy, and people are just plain sinful, if I, being God, would reveal myself and my awesomeness, no one will survive my Presence because of unrighteousness. I would be like a nuclear hazard to them. So I agree at what God did in John 3:16.
