Probaby your cat was never familiar with other animals or people. It was never accustomed to meeting "others." Slowly intruduce other into your cats world. That may help.

Most declawed cats are more fierce than undeclawed cats because they lost their first line of defense. Poor cat! Declawing a cat provides one option for her --to bite.

For now slowly try to introduce your pets to other people and pets.

It sounds like your cat has not been well socialized. She is probably very scared and anxious when she behaves this way. Does she have somewhere that she can escape to and feel safe?

A four foot declaw is very unusual. Please don't tell me a vet did all four feet at one time. Why did you have all four feet done?

Call your vet, or better yet, a vet that specializes in cats, and schedule an appointment just to talk about options for training and socialization. Also remember that each cat is an individual. Some cats like other cats for company. Some cats like dogs for company. Some cats were meant to be an only-child.

My experience has been that declawed cats are more likely to bite because it's their only defense. She doesn't like strangers so this is her only recourse. It might be a good idea to shut her in a room when you have friends visit. Your cat seems to be running your house her way. It might work if you put her in a bathroom with all her stuff for a few days. Visit her and only sit on the floor and talk to her. She might have turned into "Catzilla" and you may never be able to mellow her out. There are drops you can get called "Calmz" that might help, but don't hold your breath. If the dog is bigger, he cat will probably learn the hard way not to go after the dog. Good luck (you're going to need it.)

Your cat knows she can't defend herself (no claws) so she puts up a front when she's scared, and can be pushed so far by people coming at her that she feels the need to defend herself--so she bites.

WHY are you letting people push her so much she feels she's in danger and has to defend herself? Put her in a quiet room away from people when they come over, and let her stay calm. Making her fearful isn't helping anything. She's given you all the signs showing that she can't handle the situation. You as the owner have to be responsible and not let her be put in that position. She isn't mean. You're being clueless.

your cat is mean because you have trained it to be a ninja and it is just trying to do it's job.

why did you train it if you didn't want it to fight?
