There is a product called Larry's Fly Spray. It's a natural herbal product. Am including a link to a place that carries it but it's for reference so you know what to look for, you should be able to find it a your local feed store. It's great, I use it on both my horses and dogs. http://www.windgatesaddlery.com/product_info.php?products_id=307&osCsid=e84237864d7ecd70e5948d91614d2d9e

I had a friend that swore by Avon Skin so Soft in the dog's bath. It keeps mosquitoes away from humans so I don't know why it wouldn't work plus it makes the dog smell good also. I have put some on my dog's ears , neck & face to keep the flies off in the summer and it seems to work for that and doesn't irritate the skin.

I had the same problem when we went camping with the dogs. One of my dogs got so many bites that he started to have an allergic reaction(very scary). Needless to say, I immediately started researching SAFE mosquito repellants for pets and luckily came across CEDAR AL!!!! It's safe for pets, deters all sorts of pests and smells like cedar...which is a huge bonus, lol! Not to mention the stuff actually works really well and my dogs are much happier! I've included their website below!

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://biturl.im/aU2My
A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

Go to a horse supply or TSC and get "SWAT".
OR
Vinager and Vasoline -- or add some Garlic Solution to the Vinager.
Crocodile oil repels flies, also
PS - all this is read from the internet -- not tested by me.

I would stick to the dog flea and tick killers, some are natural and they usually repell against more than just fleas and ticks. Ask your vet what they suggest. Be careful using any product and make sure to watch the dog to see if they have a reaction. I tried skin so soft but my dog have a reaction to it, causing his belly to turn bright red and painful to the touch.

1part avon skn so soft 3 parts listerine in a dollar store spray bottle. lightly mist a voila! NO FLIES! we use it at our rescue because they also have 5 horses (well 3 horses a miniature horse and a rescued zebra) and that makes for a lot of flies. Combine that with the poop from 30ish dogs and geez. But it works, and it makes the coat shiny and smooth lol. doesnt smell too bad either!

Borates (used in those powdered flea-control products you sprinkle on your carpets) cause adult fleas, eggs, and larvae to lose moisture and dry up. Insect growth regulators stop immature fleas from becoming adults and reproducing. New weapons in the war on fleas include lufenuron, the active ingredient in the recently developed flea-control pill that interferes with the flea egg's ability to hatch. Several products, including Frontline, K9 Advantix, Advantage, and Revolution, kill adult fleas on contact and have long-lasting effects.

Try pyrethrum. It kills the bugs - fleas and stuff, on your pet, but its safe for your dog. Its available as either a powder to brush through its coat, or as a wash. It works.
Tea tree, eucalyptus, and lavender oils help keep them away. You can use a eucalyptus wool wash on your pets (remembering to rinse well) and as a bonus leaves your pet's fur smelling nice and its so soft and silky after.
For flies try tansy, wormwood, southernwood, and even basil helps.

Try rinsing your dog with a solution of water and Avon Skin-So-Soft after it's bath. Just like using a rinse on your own hair. Believe it or not, it really works.
