The new world translation

While the NWT bible is a good and accurate translation , Jehovah's Witnesses (get it rite) do not prohibit use of any version.
Rather , we often quote in the Watchtower and Awake magazines versus from other translations that have a more appropriate flavor of a particular verse.
When someone asks us questions , we are very happy if they read along in their own versions , as all Bibles carry Gods message to man.
Just some do it in an easier to understand way than others.

All translation are unique and good. Sadly, some translators have been really biased in perpetuating there theology to the readers. Jw's use New World Translation (NWT) I have a copy and find it quite appealing because it uses the common english words we use today, instead of the archaic wording found in most translation's e.g. Catholic/Protestant.

There really isn't anything wrong with the
Protestant or Catholic Bible as long as you note the notations where they made a few changes such as, Taking God's name
Jehovah and replacing it with Lord. Lord is a title not a name. it's a title to a name. Some Catholic Bibles do have Gods Name in them at Exodus 6:3,4, Psalms 83:18 and at psalms 68:4 Jah sort for Jehovah. The reason why they take his name out is because all of them are trying to teach the trinity doctrin. If Jehovah's name is Lord and Jesus name is Lord then it sounds like your talking to two persons in one.
But!!!!! they made one big mistake which they wont tell you and thats at psalms 110:1,
Matt 22:43 and Luke 20:42. You will note that it says " The Lord said unto the Lord sit at my right hand until I put my enimies under your feet". WHAT ? Is the the Lord talking to him self saying " self sit at my right hand and I will put my self enimies at your feet"?
I DON"T THINK SO !!
It should say " Jehovah said unto Jesus, sit at my right hand until I put my enimies under your feet".
You also have to get an understanding of how they use and define the word hell.
Hell came from the Greek word Hade's which means " Pit or hole with no rendering of torment or purgatory.
Hade's got translated from the word Sheo'l
Which is defined as grave, hole, pit, or any place that mankind is buried after his death ,with also no rendering at all as to a firery place of torment, burning, sufferering, pugatory or any other false doctrin out there thats being taught.
So what does happen after death? They should be guiding you to Ecclesiates 9:5
Where it says " For the living know that they shall die: But for the dead know not nothing, neither have any reward, for their memory has forgotten. 6 Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now parished;
neither have they anymore a portion for ever in any thing under the sun. C/Duy
Did you note any torment in death at the so called hell doctrin.
Jesus also has many titles such as " King,
teacher, Lord, Father and so on. But there is one title he does not have. And thats
Almighty God. Only Jehovah God has that title.
Jesus is Gods only begotten son, or first born, or to beget; means first born of creation. So Jesus was the first born creation Son of God.
Jesus name means; Helper of Jah or Jehovah Psalms 68:4
Hallelujah means praise Jehovah not praise Jesus as many are taught.

There are a lot of small details that I could go on , but as long as you understand them then you will get a better understanding of how to approuch other translations of the Bible. I

Jehovah's Witnesses believe the standard 66-book bible is the only inspired, infallible means of knowing God's will and purposes. Jehovah's Witnesses do not believe that any particular translation is uniquely inspired or infallible in a way that other translations are not.
The bible is the Word of God; Jehovah Himself is the Divine Author of the Holy Scriptures.
(2 Timothy 3:16) All Scripture is inspired of God

Jehovah's Witnesses are happy to use any translation which an interested person may prefer, and in fact Jehovah's Witnesses themselves distribute several different translations.
It seems significant that the relatively small religion of Jehovah's Witnesses are the ones best known for their worldwide preaching work. Yet Jesus commanded that ALL who would call themselves "Christian" perform this public work:
(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you. And, look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.
Jehovah's Witnesses tend to prefer translations which use the divine name of Almighty God. Young Literal Translation and American Standard are two which include the name "Jehovah" for most occurences of the Tetragrammaton.

any bible is good to be used for study...some have old english and are hard to understand.....a shambles in the king james is a marketplace..but anyone today would think it a shack...many old english words have different meanings today in the new world.

I have no problems using it in fact i do it often to prove that evrything that I believe it is in that bible also.

They took a KJV...and had a translator with less than a semester of training in Hebrew and Greek,re-write the scriptures...taking out most..not all of the scriptures that point out the deity of Christ
The NWT is a haritical bible....no truth can be found in its pages.
