I've been on the marrow donation list for two years and have been called twice as an initial match and needed to go in for more testing. For anyone who is on the registry, how many times have you been called for further testing? Has anyone been a perfect match?

You area wonderful person for offering to donate your bone marrow or stem cells (blood type) to a perfect stranger. I had a transplant 4 years ago and I am so thankful for each and every day I can share with my three children. I count my lucky stars that I had a prefect match and everything is going well. Again you are a wonderful person and I hope that one day you will be able to help someone fight the fight of their life.

I have a patient who recieved a bone marrow transplant 20 days ago and the donor was a perfect match. The transplant team told him not to worry that he would not start knitting. Hahaha! The donor was female. The 1st match backed out and didnt donate to him. He was in the fight for his life.
She could not have donated to a more wonderful kind person. It worked and he is doing well for now.
Thank God for people in the world like her.
Thank you Lord!
