Last time I checked Judaism was the word of God and it was around before Christianity. If he is so perfect then why does Christianity exist? Does it mean that God made a mistake with Judaism, since they do not share all of the same beliefs?

I was raise Jewish and have no idea what you mean by false Gods. The Jews only believe in one God.

God is perfect.

If you read the Old Testament thoroughly, you will see that the Israelites always turn to false Gods, like Baal.

God had redemption all along in His mind. (Gen 3:15)
He already revealed his son to us and to the Jews in the Old Testament eg Psalms 2, Isaiah 52:13 onwards and Isaiah 53. Isaiah 7:14, Micah 5:2

Just that the Jews were not looking out for a spiritual saviour but a political saviour who would rescue them from the Roman rule. They did not receive Jesus and crucified him. This was also part of God's salvation plan. Because of Jesus' death on the cross, all nations are blessed and have hope (Gen 12:3) Isaiah 42:18-21) Jesus' genealogy can be traced back to Abraham. (Matthew 1)

Ok, I hope this helps to answer your question.

Christians generally don't regard Judaism as a mistake. But how they regard Judaism depends on the denomination. But if you want a comparison, did God correct the mistakes he made with Abraham when he delivered the Law to Moses? Or when he prompted the religious reforms of King Josiah? Or when Solomon replaced the Tabernacle with the Temple? Or when the Ark was stolen from the Holy of Holies?

God never errs. The Jews are still His originally chosen people. They made the mistakes, continually, not Him. Review the story of Exodus - how many miracles did He perform for them while keeping them safe until He brought them to the land promised to them? All they did was continually gripe and complain. Then when they literally had it all, they went kept disobeying his commands and went by the ways of the world, not His way. God is perfect and cannot tolerate sin of any kind. There must be punishment for sins, especially when the same person repents then turns around and does the same things again.

You really ought to say who you are addressing this question to. A Jew would answer that Christianity was a mistake made by Christians, not by God. Christians would say neither was a mistake and that Christianity is more properly understood as a continuation of Judaism.

You know I asked a question like this in my church because I did not understand either. Why didn't God just send Christ right after Adam and Eve. Why go to the bother of the law. A preacher in the church gave me what I consider a great answer. God gave the law which no normal man could keep and which only condemned and did not save to show us that we could not rely on ourselves. To show us that on our own merits we could not make it. You see us humans are stubborn we like to think we can do anything. If God had not given the law first there doubtless would have been someone who thought they could make it on their own merits. The law coming before grace proved this is not so.

So basically it was not a mistake. The law coming first was just to show us our dependence on grace and not ourselves.

Jews rejected the fact that Christ was God. Had this been widely accepted by the Jews, there would be no Christianity, just Jews on the right path.

Maybe it wasnt so much a correction of a mistake as the Jews had to go through steps in order to make them ready to accept the New Covenant. God laid down laws for them to obey and gave them guidelines to living life. Perhaps to make them spiritually ready for the next step of their spiritual evolution which was to be the birth of the savior and a new covenant. Baby steps, ya know?

He has no mistakes. It was our mistake to choose sin.Because of all the false religions, God has sent Jesus Christ to die for our sins, that way we don't have to experience Hell. Christianity came into Place. Because of God's love for us.
